Social Path is actually Chans story. He said the song is really special for him because of that. He spent 7 years as a trainee before debuting with Stray Kids when he was 20, so he did give up his teenage years in pursuit of his dreams. He's spoken before about how it literally almost broke him
LiSA is actually the singer for the demon slayer intros which is why this song has that distinct anime feel, i absolutely love Social Path, and it's a very meaningful song for Bang Chan which is the leader of the group talking about his troubles and struggles giving up his youth for his career and all the years he endured as a trainee. The lyrics are so deep and beautiful and also very sad.
@@saravkchanit's not, idk why some of you say that but even from the way that voice starts singing the line you can hear it's chan. it's the huskiness. also han gets the next lines already (after lino) so it's only logical at least that part wouldn't be han
They named it Rock Star as in the spirit of a rock star like “we’re gonna unapologetic be ourselves”. Their previous album 5 Stars was like “this is what we got to show to the world” and this one is more like “this is our true colors”. Can’t really remember Bang Chan’s exact words (the leader btw).
I really like that you can appreciate what a band does even if it's not your go-to genre or style. You are so right to say that Stray Kids are good at what they do. Many people call their music bad simply because it's not their preferred style, but not enjoying a certain style doesn't mean the music is objectively bad. Obviously, you still vibe with the music, but I'm still thankful that you can articulate your opinions in a way that heeps respect onto Stray Kids for their efforts. Great Reaction!
THIS!! YES, i love this reaction video BECAUSE she often said these aren't her go-to genres but she complimented their talent and creativity despite the genre difference! I really do hope people could think the same way she does when it comes to these different genres!
Stary Kids usually like to keep somewhat of a balance between softer and harder songs in their albums, but there are albums that lean one way or the other. Ballads are somewhat rare for them if you consider the ratio of ballads they've done to the number of songs in their entire disagraphy, but not at all surprising. They have plenty of heavier songs, lots of soft songs, and quite a few pop songs in their disagraphy. In fact, I think they've tapped into most genres of music in one way or another. (They have more rock influenced songs if you dig into their earlier stuff, especially.) They mostly promote the heavier stuff, though. Since Christmas is coming up, have you listened to Christmas Evel by Stray Kids? Cheese might also be a good song for you to check out if you haven't.
Skz makes soft songs pretty frequently actually. Usually as B sides. Btw they have an MV for LALALALA and megaverse and they will be releasing one for Leave as well. You gotta check out the lyrics when you can I especially love blind spot and the meaning of it! Chan wrote social path based off of his own, but also Stray Kids as a whole, experience becoming an idol and leaving home at such a young age. Knowing that makes the song punch you in the gut more. A lot of people can relate to it! Also their album 5 star is... chefs kisses. Def check that one out! That was their album right before Rock star!
Stray kids really is such a fun group, you can tell they have such a great time creating their music and their energy is so infectious! (Also who’s gonna tell her about their cover of blackpink’s ddu-du ddu-du that they performed on kingdom)
Stray Kids are fuggin emotional rollercoaster and this is only rollercoaster I can survive. I love Lalalala stand. ver. (I'm rock snob too haha), Megaverse and I fuggin cry when I hear Cover Me. ROLLERCOASTERRRRRRRR
Comflex was a grower, not a shower. It took a couple of listens before I could appreciate it, even though it’s my least favorite on the album. Cover me is one of their most harmonically intricate of their OT8 songs, and the hidden vocals are wild - Bangchan (their leader - he of crop tops and Australian accent) did most of those layered vocals and it’s wild how intricate they are in cover me, Blind spot and leave. And funny enough, all three songs are featured in their newly released short film Skzflix
16:26 that was Seungmin’s voice and they recorded that part in one take in the studio ….. Cover me is my fav song in the whole album …. Loved your reaction ..bro u are literally representing me when the album was actually dropped 😆💖
As far as if they do soft stuff and whatnot, keep in mind, all 8 members have written at least A song, some far more than others, so they span the spectrum of genres. And they do duets, they break into subunits, etc, so there’s no end to it. If you try one song and don’t like it, try the next, it’ll be different. Loved this, thank you. And PS if you like dirty bass, try Venom.
Love your honestly! as a huge stray kids fan, I love hearing people talk about their experimental side, whether it hits or not. that’s what they’re all about! Doing whatever they want music wise and trying everything out makes them so unique and so THEM!
Social Path is a song written by Bang Chan and its a song about his own experiences so its very personal for him. The lyrics are so beautiful but also so heartbreaking. Very relateable overall. I absolutley love Stray Kids' lyricism. Reading the lyrics always makes the songs 10000x better for me when they were already a 10/10 to begin with!
I love how you were hearing Seungmin's voice and said they should do an OST. Seungmin has sang songs for a couple K Dramas. They usually put the harder songs in the beginning of their albums then they do the softer songs in the later half. They have a wide range of genre they use and mix. You should check out the SKZ Replay Album. It contains all the songs that members have wrote and produced for themselves, obviously with Bang Chan, Han, and/or Changbin producing the track. Especially Deep End, which is Felix's track. I don't know if it's your vibe but his voice does some things in that track.
coming from someone who listen to mostly rock bands, straykids are that one kpop group who actually intrigued me enough and i've been following them since predebut. I would say one of the reason is because their diverse genre in practically every song.
Bangchan, Changbin and Han are the one writing and producing the songs and Bangchan also arranges every song🥰 But also the other members have written a few songs and are all very talented songwriters
Thank you for always finding time out your busy schedule to react to our boys - Congrats on the EP 💚. Megaverse is one of my fav - Seungmin sings that beautiful part in cover me - Leave is actually the theme song for their short film SKZFLIX. these boys just got their 4th Billboard no 1# nomination and performed for Billboard. They are really getting bigger and bigger 💚 PS: Stray Kids does variety so always a balance on their Albums. Pss: Lisa is an Anime Queen and known for Anime openings like Demon Slayer💚 You Should do their 5-Star album 💿
you can actually find almost every genre in their discography but it all have that "skz" sound to it. also you're so right with the back to back rap followed with very melodic prechorus formula!! I've been noticing this and I just love it so much because it works every time! it's their signature atp
You should definitely check out the LaLaLaLa music video but also- RED LIGHTS. The song, the music video, 🤌. Honestly the whole NoEasy album is a personal favorite
Stray kids been my support for almost 3 years and will be forever. helped me through though times by their funny videos, songs and many more! My fav group obviously SKZ 😭💗🫶🏼 and thas why I have MAXIDENT, 5-STAR LIMITED ADDITION, and ROCK-STAR CDS🥹🤘🏻🎸
Congrats on your EP! Their whole album is amazing, but I've been obsessed with COVER ME. It was written and composed by Bang Chan and Hyun Jin ❤. It's so pretty and the vocals are gorgeous. The first "cover me now" part towards the end is Seungmin at 16:20
They have done A BUNCH of soft songs before so Stays are used to it lol. BTW, if you want a beautiful soft song, then listen to Youtiful which is off one of their recent albums before this one. The album is called 5-Star and Bang Chan the leader/oldest wrote Youtiful by himself. Stray Kids are truly amazing and wonderful ❤😊
the person featured on social path is LiSA and shes like HUGEEE in japan and pretty much everywhere fjeifughwi idk if you watch anime but honestly even if you dont youll probably recognize gurenge by LiSA if you were to listen to it :) its the theme song for demon slayer!
Thunderous by them has a lot of interesting production sounds and meanings, since it was on the NO EASY (noisy) album that was in response to them being called "noise music"
Stray kids always so good!! And seeing them perform live makes it 100 times better. I'm sure you would also love Dreamcatcher if you gave them a chance ❤
I hope you watch the MVs for La La La La, Megaverse and Social Path (Japanese original)! I also really appreciate how honest yet supportive you are?? Like, even when you don’t like something as much you go about it in such a nice way! It’s such a great balance!
Omg you should definitely react to the music video for lalalala AND react to the intro for the album! They go into depth about what went into every song and you can see how much effort they put into their music and also a bit of their personalities😃
'I can harmonize with Felix'. I'm dead. I'm so happy you're reacting to them! I knew, you'd love them! I'm also more into rock but I just love Straykids (and also some other KPopgroups). Congratulations on yor new single!!
There's a bit in Cover Me where Felix is singing, but not in his deep voice and the first time I listened to it, I was caught so off guard by it because I didn't recognize his voice nor did I recognize it as one of the other members. And when I learned it was him.....WHOOO! It's the part that's in the pre-chorus where the singer says "I don't know". And the long Cover Me Now was Seungmin and he did that in one take.
I’m so excited for your new ep! I’ll def listen to it. Skz also has such a unique sound and I LIVE for your reactions! I’d also love if you reacted to their Domino dance practice! Love you ❤
I am literally SO HAPPY that you reacted to this. I really was like "Cami REALLY needs to hear their new album cuz it's so her" ❤❤❤ STRAY KIDS WORLD DOMINATION
skz has close to 200 songs by now (or already more not sure its been a while since i last checked) and i once saw smb analyse them all and they came to the conclusion that skz has songs in over 40+ genres, like they love playing around with new stuff
Congratulations on your debut EP! I love how Stray Kids play with music, freely exploring various genres. At the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, they've arranged a Rock version based on the original Lalalala song, just like you commented and even mashed up with the song S class! I always enjoy seeing them create different arrangements for each performance, just like the excellent arrangement they did for 'Case 143' on The First Take channel. And don't forget to check out their mash-up of Blackpink's 'Ddu-du Ddu-du' with 'God's Menu' on Kingdom, as someone already mentioned.
If you've only listened to a handful of Stray Kids songs, you gotta check out Thunderous off the album NOEASY! The whole album is great, but that one is the most played by a pretty solid margin.
Thanks to 3racha for writing and producing these bangers 🔥🤍 changbins and hans vocals are so good even when they are rappers i am a sucker for 3racha ngl
Leave is the most vibey break up song and I love they have several break up songs but this one is my favorite. From this album LALALALA rock version, leave and Comflex were my favorite tracks.
More than SKZ, your junk superstar album sits at the same table as the kband Xdinary Heroes who are SKZ's juniors. AND i do love Overkill, esp bcoz of how crisp and surfaced the vocals are. Easily blastable in a loudspeaker. HOT MESS, like just a snippet from the intro instrumental, i recommend you Xdinary Heroes ❤ forgive my poor memory so if there are Villains here, i need you to tell me the exact XH song Im talking about 😭 like go listen to Hot mess and tell me which XH song it was
Cami i was watching the “red lights” mv and after I finished it i was like i need to see cami’s reaction to this it’s like the sexiest track/mv in the skz discography you should really listen to it
You should react to the recording scene, they are so fun and as a musician you surely appreciate it much better. An of course look at they beautiful faces 😍
Debut EP lets gooo! So that means some of us are predebut Cami fans? ^^ SKZ always goes hard, either in emotions, vocals etc , or nasty bass etc , and i'm here for it !
There’s a video for LaLaLaLa now, and it does not disappoint. You need to do a reaction video for it asap. You will love it. Your excitement and enthusiasm over it will bring me joy.
Personally, my favourite one is definitely comflex lol. Idk why but comflex is basically my love of life, the swagness in it is something i really like. Apparently my friends also told me comflex suits me a lot too so yeah. There's this kind of childish yet swaggy kind of vibe in that song (if that make sense) that i enjoy lolol Second favorite for me in the album is lalalala rock ver., being a metalhead, lalalala rock ver is the love of my life lmao.
15:09 that is Jeongin or I.N. The youngest of them all and apart of vocalracha ヾ(≧▽≦*)o 16:23 that was Seungmin, the second youngest and also apart of vocalracha
You should react to a guide to stray kids (2024 ver) it'll help you get to know them better and learn all their names and their positions and other stuff like that
