@Lissenen: Bullshit! Andrea is credited as the songwriter! If she wanted to be Robin S, she should've stepped forward and do the final recording, go out there and do all the touring and putting up with the bad and good that comes with it...

@@SmartRobot-wc2fb auto tune isn't that odd and has unfortunately become an staple in the music industry. It's very rare to hear live vocals, mainly due to cost and technical aspects of a live performance. I'm not trying to shade anyone, I'm a vocalist myself and yes touring is not easy. I just wish people had this energy for Milli Vanilie (again not being shady, I genuinely think they worked hard and got screwed over)

@biggalljzionkemp9719: LIE! It may be Andrea Martin's voice on the demo as she is the credited songwriter. But not on the final recording. Go listen closely. Besides, if Andrea all of a sudden wanted to be Robin S, why didn't she step forward back in the day, doing all the promotion and touring and all the good and bad that comes with it? She didn't. So, why does she now want everything?

Yes, it was Robin S.'s voice. Andrea sung the demo and added her riffs and lyrics without knowing they would use the song and then have Robin S sing the actual final recording. Watch the video on RU-vid of Andrea's comments at the Women Behind the Music Panel....comprenshion is key.

@@yemo2365 I saw the interview and you are incorrect. This lady Robin can’t even sing the song in the right register. She claims that she had a cold that night. How come Andrea Voice is still the same and sound exactly like the record. Not only that Robin haven’t done anything else outside of this song and Andrea Has with numerous of number one platinum records with the same voice.. i’m in the entertainment industry, and it is easy for someone to get credit for something that they did not do and especially back in those days because they didn’t have the access that we have today. I’m sorry however, this is not Robin’s voice.

​@@MrSquareheadsSquareheads, ever since I heard Andrea sing that in the damn chair on that panel, I'm like there's NO WAY that ain't Andrea's voice on the record. It's brighter than Robin live version. Her voice is very similar but there's a "young, bright" sound throughout the vocals that isn't there for Robin. Robin is all raspy. Andrea is raspy but there's also a brightness. Good ear I tell ya!

No controversy and nobody brought up the the idea that she didn't sing that song! Hell were got out that snaps song wasn't his but I got to tell you both represented that like they own. I saw her live and I didn't question it. But anyways who cares AI going to take over and nobody will get paid! It's like that for everything. We're all doomed

Andrea Martin wrote the song even she the one really singing

Andrea did not write the song - Allen George & Fred McFarlane wrote & produced the original song (& many other hits) - Andrea sang on the demo version, but Robin sang on the actual final/released recording - Andrea co-wrote other songs, but not Show Me Love.

@@greggmitchell2392 Actually Andrea was one of the writers too and sang the demo, however the production team used her vocals on the final version that was released without her consent. Robin didn't sing on it, although it all worked out well cause Robin could perform it live and do it close to the original recording, but there is a difference. Nobody can kill those high notes like Andrea does....

Yes, she did. Andrea Martin's (the voice on the demo) music partner even said it. People apparently have low comprehension and took Andrea's comments at the Women Behind the Music Panel out of context thinking she was claiming she sung the final recording.

@@yemo2365 Actually she talked about in more occasions, not only at the Women Behind the Music Panel and in one of her interviews she clearly said she sang the demo and they ended up releasing it instead with her voice on it and that people who know her voice know who did it. Andrea's sister called her saying that she was on the radio because she recognised her sister's voice right away when "Show Me Love" started playing! It's pretty obvious to me because Andrea still sounded the same after so many years and she sounds way more similar to the record than Robin S. live. Even back in the day Robin S. sounded differently from the studio version of the track, even if her voice was similar to Andrea's but definitely not the same. Robin can't reach all the notes of the track properly like Andrea Martin does and Andrea proved that she was telling the truth when she sang the acappella of that song on those interviews and showed that is undoubtedly her voice on the track. Robin can sing too but the truth is she'll never be able to sing "Show Me Love" like Andrea did.

@@BehdinAzadih-hh7rj Robin always sang live and she is an incredible singer but it wasn't her voice on the recording and it's clear. If you notice, specially in the Apollo performance and others, Robin struggles to reach the higher notes of the track and her voice is indeed different from the original (even if similar). Andrea Martin reaches all the notes of the track way more naturally and easily and she doesn't struggle to do it, she proved herself when she sang the acappella of this track which leaves no doubt that it was her voice there as she sounds way more convincing than Robin S, even after so many years! Andrea sounds way more like the recording than Robin S. herself in all the senses, that means something. Andrea was definitely telling the truth.
