Regarding the fans: I don't think that you or anyone else can say that all fans are behaving the same way. Dimash has fans from many countries, ages and cultures. I personally respect every opinion as everybody has their own taste.

There are always going to be a small number of obsessive fans with anything in life. I'm definitely a Dimash superfan myself but I completely get that this song gives off a different vibe. It was written a long time ago. Honestly my favorite Dimash songs are a little more unknown. I get goosebumps every single time I watch Adagio from 2017 singer show performance so I highly recommend that. It's in English too.

I totally understand your reaction to this song. It has always been my personal reaction to it as well. I am always more inclined to recommend to new reactors performances such as "Your Love," "Olimpico," "Love Is Like a Dream," "Love of Tired Swans," "Adagio," and "Across Endless Dimensions." I have never suggested this one to someone who is new to Dimash. Dimash has said it is important to him that his music be known in the western world. That should be important to those of us who love Dimash as well. That's why I am reminding your viewers about the passionate fans ( known by him as Dears) from all over the world who have succeeded in propelling him to #1 in requests on MTV over the past four weeks in a row and the fact that they can use more help to keep him at #1. New fans who want to help keep Dimash at the top where he belongs should calculate their time zone difference and then tune into the MTV youtube channel Friday Livestream every Friday from 5-8 pm New York time and type REQUEST DIMASH as many times as possible in the chat during the three hours that the program is airing. It is the least we can do for him in return for all he has given to us.

We mostly get chills, depends on the melody, tone and lyrics. It doesn't matter if we get goosebumps for each performance, what matters is to be satisfied with the quality of music, class and characteristics the vocalist gives to the song that is preformed. Lovely reaction..thank you.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

You're right about the personal taste and its important that people respect that. The majority of the Dears are very nice people and we all want to support our idol. Unfortunately, like in all fandoms, a few will take things a little bit to personal, so to say. The Dears love Dimash's humble heart and we should take that humbleness also part of us as it's a better way to support him.

People like me call that mess out too . A lot of us found Hua Chenyu bc of Dimash and there could not be two more different artists . Hua is in China . We fans are tired of the rude behavior and Dimash himself doesn’t approve of such behavior . On social media keep in mind unstable people thoroughly enjoy the platform. The vast majority of us are decent people and respectful . There are a few people who seem hell bent on being jerks on purpose and it’s suspected in some cases it’s the “ point “ ( for what ever reason). Keep your eyes on the names of the rude ones . There’s a pattern . They will pose as being from a certain geographical area . Bc I’ve actually had contact with a few -it was mind blowing to discover where they were! I’ll ALWAYS call them out on a reactors channel for their behavior. Right now I can think of 8 names off hand of those who are complete asses . It’s they who are hindering him in the west ( and some don’t even live here ). If you see a post that begins with “ hey dude show some respect “.. just block . This person is a pain all over RU-vid. OMG I’ve been listening to Eskobar for about 15 years, since a trip to France where your song You Got Me (featuring Emma Daumas) played on the radio. I bought your CD in France then, before coming back to the States lol... The most recent song I love from you is “When Your Heroes Fall” (I also follow you on Spotify, along with Dimash and other artists that I love). Anyways, thanks for your honest reaction to Dimash. It’s true that being moved by a song, or a voice, comes down to personal taste, and is ultimately quite subjective, regardless of how emotional the artist is when interpreting a song. Thus, although Dimash’s interpretations are emotional, one may still not be moved by his performance: that’s two different things altogether. To me, his vocal and technical abilities are just the cherry on top of the cake. For instance, Dimash doesn’t belt for the sake of it or for showing off; but rather to express his strong emotion, and convey a specific meaning. Now, whether we like his artistic choice or not is again a matter of personal taste. Besides, we cannot love every single song, music, piece of art, etc... from our favorite artists, no matter how talented they are, whatever their fields. Because I’m highly receptive to Dimash music and voice frequency, they have an emotional effect on me; which doesn’t seem to be the case with you on that particular song and performance. But you know what, that’s totally fine! I discovered Dimash about 2 years ago and became a fan of his. Although some Dears can definitely be overprotective towards Dimash, we are also respectful of someone else’s opinions. We can all agree to disagree in a civil, polite, and respectful way. Unfortunately, haters or crazy people can be found anywhere: simply ignore them. I must say that the Dears are overall an amazing fandom. Last but not least, I would have never thought that one day I would see the lead singer of Eskobar react to Dimash: you made my day, even if you didn’t like the song lol...

Thanks for your reaction here, and as for goose bumps or not, well, "There is no accounting for taste." One Dimash song that gets very little press is "Uptown Funk", which I like because ALL it is is Dimash having fun with a plain old modern pop song -- not my general style at all, but they're having FUN with it on stage, & I certainly like that. Again, thanks for your reaction here. Cheers.

As with personal tastes, reactions are individual too. I acknowledge and own my obsession with Dimash’s music. That being said, there are pieces that I have enjoyed less than others. However, I am surprised by your lack of feeling towards Sinful Passion - this one has always given me chills. Perhaps it is the underlying current of emotion that I feel every time he sings “daj mnie” (give me). The traditional Kazakh melisma in honour of the late singer of this song also appeals greatly to me, but it is personal opinion. I tend to respect this performance just as much for what happens after the song as during the music. Had you watched a tad longer, you would have witnessed Dimash thanking the original musicians (the keyboardist was the composer and the guitarist was also an original band member). This was also the first time I observed Igor Krutoy in the audience (standing ovation). Igor Krutoy has composed many of the works that Dimash has performed: Ogni Pietra (composed for Dimash), I Miss You (also composed for Dimash and very recent), Love of Tired Swans (also performed by Lara Fabian - one of Dimash’s role models), and Mademoiselle Hyde (Lara Fabian penned the lyrics and also performed this one). I am personally of the belief that, as a Dear (Dimash’s fan base), we should show respect and humility in what we write on the internet. However, I can’t control what others think or write. Appreciate the reaction despite the lack of connectivity to the song. I will also take a listen to your group - the courteous thing to do. Cheers!

don't worry, there is a reason Dimash isn't very mainstream yet outside a certain fan culture where he also got his first fame with covers. its not just you not connecting with alot of his stuff because he played 2 sides, the poppy shrill stuff to impress and the more serious TV/event production (not talent shows) with classical elements. YT of course does its thing by playing the "let me impress you" card so he gets suggested alot and a part of his fame came from that beginning 2017. i like him as an artist because of his technical abilities of course (the work he must have put in in his youth...) and because he pulls me outside the "western mainstream", which is good. but truthfully not many of his songs are on any of my playlists. he often sounds shrill and thats not something i like to listen to for a very long time no matter how technically impressive it is. the "go to's" are "Ogni Pietra" to get a good impression of his classic-style (= important event track), and maybe go for "love is like a dream" for a soft balad with a beautiful quiet transition, "ti amo cosi" where he sings in a triplette with his idols to judge his coop-ability and maybe add "across endless dimensions" to hear an overproduced movie-track of him to get the complete picture of how he would sound in studio (i don't like it very much, but thats me). i would also say stay away from the Opera2/Daybreak/talent show stuff which is really playing the shrill & impress me card. thats not where you will get chillls from good music. but for clicks it works, business is business ;)

I wonder to what degree some reactors try not to be impressed too much when told Dimash is the best vocalist by the Dears? Not specially saying you did (!), but some are kind of offended and have the attitude like “We will see...” Anyway, I do appreciate honest en sincere reactions and for sure we cannot all like the same cup of tea. Your reaction, preferring to listen to a song whiteout the lyrics made me think about that. Because from on side I understand (music goes further than knowing what someone is singing about) but it does give a song so much more meaning. For example the song at his Bastau concert “Daybreak” you “see” and “hear” him sing his heart out. But when knowing the lyrics it makes me cry as a parent. So, apparently it does matter. I heard when Dimash heard this song for the first time as a child, he was trembling over his whole body. Which support your point of view language knowledge isn’t necessary because the song is in Chinese 😆😅 I really hope you will be able to read beyond soms critics from Dears and mostly for yourself keep enjoying his music. He has so much more to offer. And it would be nice for us to join your journey and hear and see your reaction, positive or negative 😉 Kind Greetings from this Dear 🤗

I offer a little information about the song "Sinful Passion". This song is old. She's over 20 years old. Music by Baigali Serkebayev, and the words to this song were written by the famous contemporary Russian poet Ilya Resnick, author of many Russian music hits The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). Dimash sang this song for the first time in Russia in Sochi at the New Wave Festival on September 9, 2018. He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath. Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis.

We might also mention that the keyboardist in this performance is the composer of this song and I believe at least some of the band members from its original performance are part of this band. Additionally, that the man in the front row, in the white shirt, giving a standing ovation, is Igor Krutoy, a Russian composer and impressario, who came out of recent retirement to write for Dimash. Danny of Eskobar might find Olympico by Krutoy interesting. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dkPS6t84qg4.html

A slide up to a B flat 5 and a run all the way down for 23 seconds on one breath stuns me and gives me chills everytime. But it's not just his vocal skills (which are unparalleled). This man can command a stage as a solo act. At his concerts, which often run for 2 1/2 hours, he connects with his audience and has made them cry just by the way he feels and sings the music, even if they don't understand the language he's singing in. In short, he has what many of today's entertainers lack - an extraordinary stage presence. That's why his fanbase is worldwide and includes the young and the old, women and men, of every race and ethnicity. I don't know any entertainer today who has that type of appeal.

@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 That's because you know nothing about the man. About his deep love for his nation and its people and his family. About how he's donated money from his concerts to worthy causes such as Project C.U.R.E. About how he loves and respects his mentors who have been training him since age 5 when they realized he had absolute pitch. He could rest on his accomplishments now and yet he's going for his PhD in music because he always wants to learn more. He's a decent human being with a good heart full of passion for music - a heart that will hopefully remain untainted by the darker side of the music business. He's never exuberant in interviews. Every words Dimash put for the different texture into it for the reason to deliver the soul and the meaning of that words in this haunting song.

'That dude' wrote the song about 20 years ago! Dimash is singing with the original band as part of a professional pre-concert before the competition of young singers. This is an epically great match up. So he did not waste the opportunity, but added the lament in the middle to honor their fallen original lead singer. The band, A-Studio is from his region so he used a traditional Kazakh style lament with the goat-trill (glottal vibrato). You're right about people having different things that give them goosebumps. Another reviewer, specifically a jazz musician, was just wild about this performance. It was largely about the song itself and the carefully refined balance of vocals and instrumentation. But a carefully tuned classic Russian pop/jazz song was just the thing for him. I'm not wild about some of the songs Dimash sings, largely because I don't like all kinds of music. Some people go crazy when he does a K-Pop style song or maybe a song originally by one of their favorite bands. He could sing the best rap/hiphop in the world and it would still leave me cold. He sings a lot of styles, so pick what you like. I like his old Russian classic songs (e.g. Love Is Like A Dream). They are very warm and rich and I do like his midrange tenor MF a lot. Some people really connect with his Chinese folk song work (e.g. Autumn Strong or Late Autumn in Mandarin!). So for some styles : SciFi movie music video : Across Endless Dimensions (English) Sassy Russian cabaret showpiece : Opera 2 Mostly opera with modernized instrumentation : Olimpico (aka Ogni Pietra) in Italian Modern dramatic ballad : My Heart Will Go On (Celine Dion cover) Sort of Kpop style : Screaming (2 major versions : studio vs live w/ rap) Blue Alien impossible : Diva Dance Dramatic Italian semi-operatic : Confessa (one version is paired with dancer and Diva Dance, very good) He also does a bunch of more Kazakh style music that I haven't connected with yet. We'll see. I need to put in the time for a focused session and see if feel it. I think he needs to latch onto a metal band project, maybe orchestral metal like Evanescence. It could be amazing. There may be some crazies that go after you for not loving everything Dimash does. We need to have a thick skin in life, especially when people are telling you what to like.

Thank you for your honest reaction, Danny. I am a big Dimash fan (Dear), but respect that everyone has their own tastes. I love most Dimash songs, but not all - some are not my taste, although he sings them well. SOS gives me chills, as does Ogni Pietra (Olimpico) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dkPS6t84qg4.html. Dimash lives and breathes the music that he sings. His depth of emotion brings me to tears in these songs: (with subtitles): Daybreak ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uXGF7vgEYKk.html&t Marigold (That's his mother in the front row. I think there is a difference in obsessive and protective. Most often you might see overly protective fans. It's like judging someones son. Dimash has a relationship with his fans whereas he feels like they are an extension of his family. Its hard to explain but it's not like fans have adopted him, it's more like he has adopted the fans therefore they are very protective him. I don't think fans are trying to be disrespectful to any criticism just protective and very proud of his accomplishments. Just my take on it.

Swedish neighbour, you have 100 dislikes to around 1000 likes which means 1 in 10 dislike this reaction which is a lot. The reason is not necessarily because you preferred the first song of Dimash better, rather I think because you did not give much comment/praise to the objective view of this incredible performance apart from saying it was technically very good. Had you added some more, pointing out the various impressive parts of this song which perhaps only a handful people in the world would be able to sing this way, more of those you call 'obsessive fans' (who are rather heartfelt fans who want Dimash to get respect even when some of his songs are not for everyone) would have reacted with better understanding. Not everyone can have the same taste - it goes for Dimash's songs as well as everyone else's - and that is to be respected, but the way we as reactors convey our opinion/views (with respect or without it, with humility or without it) will in my experience influence the response we get from our viewers/visitors. Great to see another Scandinavian face reacting to this sensational singer, best singer on the planet in my view and many many others. Have fun on your continued Dimash-journey!

This song is completely different than SOS, isn't it. I get chills here too, but they come when I hold my breath for the long one-breath phrases Dimash does. Sinful Passion feels kind of out-of-time to me. If you still want to watch some more Dimash with us, maybe you'll like Adagio ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eaq24OhkBRE.html and Hello (L.Richie's) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZYrrES9jGr4.html more? Or try Drunken Concubine ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8T3J9TqU-QM.html if you dare - that's something you'll enjoy and won't forget. 😁 All 3 have energy closer to SOS. And thanks, yeah I could include some of my(our) music but last time people thought I was trying to compare myself to Dimash hoping HIS diehard fans would favor me or something. @@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 people will say different things - but at the end of a day it's your channel, of an artist - how dare they quiet you. For me it was the first time I heard your song, and I'm glad it happened. Please don't do what I suggest either - if I was so wise, I'd have my band and channel, but I don't. Maybe you enjoyed the surprise in SOS, and then it's about the same tricks? I mean, a skillful musician can't go back to listening like a random member of the audience. Or maybe the other songs (Hello, Sinful Passion, Love is like a dream, well - most of Dimash epic ones) get you bored with the long tranquil first part - and all explosions accumulated in the short 2nd part? Dimash is trained and outstanding in operatic technique - and I think many his fans are on this wavelength, like me. I enjoy the accumulation of perfectly executed operatic technical details - and I call him the best singer of all times looking through those lenses. Doesn't your music world look distant from opera? Your song I heard was natural, directly emotional and moving. Maybe after 2-3 more you'll see he is not your cup of tea - and that's perfectly OK. I enjoy the sincerely unmoved reactors more than those faking their admiration. I want to say that I enjoy meeting YOU, the personality and successful artist. In my eyes anything you honestly do or say, is valuable.

That he is the best singer in the world? that is already to everyone's taste, I personally like him a lot, he is very versatile, he does everything and I am obviously one of his fans. And they do not see that it is a young man with a probably unique vocal register, who dares to sing from a GO GO POWER RANGERS to a LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM, going through an infinity of genres in between, and who does it very well, beyond people like what he does or not. His audience is unique, exclusive and respectful of every way of life. For me elite means exclusivity. Sinatra and Minelli's audience was not just any audience, they were special as Dimash's are.

Hmm, I think I understand what you mean but not sure I agree. "His audience is unique, exclusive and respectful of every way of life". Some of his fans are extremely rude and have shown that in the comments of my reactions. Also he seems to have massive audiences and that would lead me tot´think it's a not a select few but just regular people in general.

@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 It is a bit difficult to explain when you only speak Spanish and use an online translator to communicate. ... ☹️😭 but I really like listening to you, you are honest in what you think and regardless of whether you like an artist or not, you value his vocal and interpretive ability. That's something that not everyone does 😁
