I love this song! I think it is the ultimate song of hope! Got a little carried away at a Florida concert not long ago! So hoping to hear it live! Beautiful song and story!

Wow Brad this hit me hard today as I'm missing my darling mother who would have celebrated her Birthday recently. Always in my heart and I find it very hard to type with the tears in my eyes after watching this 'reaction' from you of David Phelps. Isn't he a beautiful soul and such an exquisite voice. God gave David a great gift of talent. David took those talents and through much hard work, study, and practice honed that gift to the indescribable thing that it is now. He then followed his calling to share those talents with us, and I am supremely grateful. I have seen David live many, many times, and hope to see him again many more times in the years to come, God willing.

Thank you so much Brad! It was heartbreaking to lose my dad, but we rejoice knowing he's with Jesus and no more pain and suffering. I believe David uses "Wings" as an analogy to describe the brokenness of the person. When he passes, he flies to the arms of God. Although, when we read about the rapture, we will meet the Lord in the air. We may have wings. Thank you again for your reaction to this song. It blessed me to find this reaction video. ❤❤

Powerful vocals. Heartbreaking lyrics. If God can walk on water, he can walk on air, and so doesn't need wings. We are created in God's image and don't have wings.
