You have to understand the background of this show to understand this song better. It's done in 24 hours again, he basically assign with only lyrics to starts with, the original is not even classified as a song.

Nice to see you all again, he is wonderful. Please try 'Giant Deer 巨鹿', 'To be free', 'Jawdow boy 寒鴉少年', 'Ashes from fire 烟火里的塵埃', 'Mayfly 蜉蝣', 'Arrival 降臨' and 'Quasimodo's gift 卡西莫多的禮物'. All of them are beautiful, not rap song, you may like them ^.^

I was secretly hoping that your second video would be Giant Deer 😔 Drinking alone is, of course, amazing, I just tought Giant Deer would fit your musical taste better. I feel that when he mixes rap with other genres he does it to add more "roughness" and power to the message of the performance and the "soft" parts express most of the time loneliness, isolation, self discovery. Thank you guys for this reaction, even though I love every single song that he performed, I am hoping in the future you will react more to his original songs rather than the covers.

The rap part and the singing part represent two different meanings and moods. Hua Hua is very appropriate to express the story of this song. His singing skill is incredible. The high note is so beautiful. He is amazing as always.

Absolutely NO ONE is like HuaHua ! He stands alone in a class of his own ! I think the songs with his interjection of the rap makes it so interesting and so encompassing..... my God, he is such a genius.

Hua just completed his yearly Mars concert in China. He has some new songs that are epic and as expected can expect the unexpected. His new single is "Conversation with Martian Children, MV version. Then at the concert Trilogy - I want to love this world, Madhouse, and conversation with Martian, then 7 personalities to start with. Hope you are ready to react to him again.

Honestly I never like rap before I met Hua Chen Yu! His rap is so unique like no one else. Love it. HH personal I really like that mix with hard and soft.

Many people will recommend the songs adapted by Hua Chenyu in the program. Most of the songs adapted by Hua Chenyu are amazing, but the songs in his album can express his music world and talent more intuitively, and his thinking about music, which is what I like most about him. The scene of his concert is a very good choice. 👍🏻Looking forward to your return.

Not sure if you have got the English Subs. The song is about a king going to a battle leaving his loved one behind. He must win the battle so that he can see his loved one again. That is why the rap part coming in. In the battlefield, sometimes he feels lonely and thinks about his loved one. He drinks and gets drunk and why the humming and melodic part coming in. All parts make sense and the flow to me is great 👍🏻

Haha, that's a quick break :-)).. always nice to see you guys. Hua's extreme style is always the debating point. If you are in tune with his emotion, you will be naturally drawn into it, if you are not, then you probably don't like it.. so it's very personal. If you are more towards the traditionalists, the first time you hear it, you may not be able to follow him, but if you listen more times, you will be amazed by the way he composes the songs.. anyway, this is my personal opinion only... thanks for your opinions

It's unbelievable that there aren't two different people singing this song.

You guys are shooting straight haha. Don't worry. We are Hua Hua fans who can handle a difference in opinion. Just to share why some of us love the mixing: The rapping part is more of an expression of anger, the singing part more melancholic. Some of us like the whole gamut of emotions expressed in the song. Understand that some don't like the rapping part, it's a break from the melancholic( i.e. beautiful) part. I always treat Hua's songs with raps more like mini storytelling musicals.

Support your choice ,give some time for Hua hua to create more great performance

This song is a cover and orginally its pure rapping. The singing parts were added by Hua.

I like his singing n the instrument part, but he was given 24 hours only to rearrange the song. I prefer his Soft Rap in his wayfarer song

We're going to miss your reactions to Hua Hua for awhile, but I totally get why you take breaks from artists. I'm a little curious why/how some of these Hua Chenyu performances have been selected for you to react to...I'm not sure they've really demonstrated his wide range of composing skills and singing techniques. His new single "New World" is a great example of his composing skills (although there is rap) and how he uses his voice as an instrument. Another catchy song he wrote (in English) after he learned the pentatonic scale used in western composition is "For Forever"...it will remind you of Mumford and Sons. He's a hugely talented guy who insists that he's this successful so early in life because he started his musical journey earlier than most people, but it is undeniable that he is a musical genius. He's taken China by storm...I think he will be a global phenom before he exits the stage.

Haha..Pple are not used to hearing a mixed of genre in 1 song with 1 singer bcos no solo singer will tbe able to pull it off alone like him. :-p. Btw, he didnt choose to do this song. The song with no melody just plain words was assigned to him again in The Next S2. He was given only 24 hr to rearrange and perform, to competent against some 'amateur' singers.

You've mentioned several Hua Chenyu's video reactions ago - that you weren't a fan of mixing rap and regular singing. It's best if everyone keeps this in mind when making suggestions for future reactions. Otherwise, we will be disappointed that you don't like the song as much as we do. Since you won't be reacting to any more Hua for a month, hopefully I will come up with a list for you all that doesn't have hard rapping mixed with normal singing.... Maybe, if time permits.

易燃易爆炸 降臨 is amazing. You can't miss it.

It’s not because you said you don’t like rap + singing that I am not happy, but I just honestly think it a pity that from a song like this (full of story in it), the first and only thing you focus on is the genres used, like rap + singing = I like or I don’t like. This is too much reductive. At least you could have looked into the song and analyzed why here rapping why there singing, what would be the meaning behind when he created this(knowing that Hua is a composer and put always his thoughts in his works). Then if you still think there should have been better choices, ok. Moreover, Hua himself said that his rap is not hip-hop but rock style, so maybe there is a slight difference between his rap + singing and those you mentioned? Not to mention that he does all parts alone, unlike others. Sure, this is only my opinion. I hope you won’t take it wrong. It may indeed be a good idea for you to take a break on him anyway.

I do love it when Hua Hua does the mixture of rock-rap and ballad, but I Kinda agree with you about “See you Again”, I love the part when Charlie Puth sings, but the rap part destroys it.

The rap part is to express the boldness, wildness and arrogance of a king fighting for his people, and the soft siging is to describe the cold and regretful side of who couldn't hold his lover in the drink. Maybe the combination is actually a destruction, but it all makes sense.

The rap is match up with it if you understand the language, so nice

Hahaha I just can't get rid of his screaming part (amazingly beautiful) so hear this song again and again even though don't appreciate the rap part that much .... I don't hate it just that the singing and sreaming part was far way too good to other part. I called it Hualish screaming :) His style changes every 1-2 years (for me). Many of his songs in 2016 & 2017 are this "rap-sing- rap- sing " style but not many now If you're interested in his other style, maybe you can try "Dad, I'm home" ( be sure with the lyrics) or " The day never understand the darkness of the night" (2019).

Each has a right to disagree respectfully and you did. At least you are honest and that is what reaction is, otherwise what's the point. I actually like having the contrast and mixing. Makes it less boring and not all rap. He's a bold composer and sticks to his own interpretation. And you are right, he is setting a new modern trend of music composing as expressed by other song writers. His composing does not fit the general rule. As Hua says about his music, some will get it and most may not. He composes his songs, mostly for listening to feel the emotions, and generally not intended to sing along.

Don't really understand why you choose this song and performance... or why this was suggested when there are so many new songs and performances of Hua that show his ability more.

Too bad you didn't even get a chance to react his new songs that he composed this year. They were different than this song because they were original from him. He re-composed this song in 24 hours and chose by the competitor which he had no choice to pick. He tried his best not to break the original singer theme but he made the song into his style. Maybe if you understand the language then the rap part will be different to you guys. The rest about how he changed from rap into vocal without stopping and last that long was unbelievable. I always questioned this....incredible!

Same, I am not a fan of rap. But when he does it I can at least appreciate it and even like some of them. But most rap from other artists are a big no go for me. So your rap must have some good beat to it for me to like it and it can’t be too long. HuaHua never raps an entire song luckily he is always diverse which keeps my attention during the entire song.
