Singers Reaction/Review to "Pentatonix - Aha! Singapore, The Star Vista" 

Avi actually did broke the sound system literally in one of their live shows! they are beyond talented

Kevin was putting away his cello at the start - and you can def hear him once Ah-Ha starts. But the person filming is a HYOOGE Mitch fan, and once The Queen started singing, that's all we get for the rest of the song :) Re Avi - there is a fan video somewhere of Avi *actually* breaking a sound system at small show - he blew out the speakers :) I have seen fan-videos taken on potato-phones, in like airports and garages and random university lobbies, where PTX sounds amazing. Their talent just shines through, all the time. "Ah-Ha" is by Imogen Heap - she's also amazing! Anyway - *great* reaction, y'all had the same response that the rest of us Pentaholics had! Kevin was offstage and he entered late. So he's not on camera here, but you can still hear him doing his thing :D Mitch is just so captivating in this clip, it kills me!! And for me, this live performance is actually better than their recorded version! Cuz everything is heightened- Avi and Mitch esp!! They go all out during the live for this, when compared to the recording where most the things are kind of in the background-ish.. And their voices sound exactly the same live as it does in their recordings, so even if there is an overall editing like highlighting some parts of the vocals or something along those lines, their vocals sound the same live

Kevin is next to Scott, he´s just out of the shot. At the beginning of the video you can see space between Mitch and Kirstie (that´s because Kevin had just finished his cello solo and he does not sing during Christus Factus (the opera-like bit at the beginning)) but when Aha! starts (after Avi´s low note) Mitch moves to his left and Kevin comes to stage next to Scott. You can hear him, but not see him. :) There´s a huge amount of Aha! live performances in YT, this is the one that fans like best but the rest are also worth checking. They sound perfect single time.

YEA!!!! We usually wait a while before sprining Aha! Singapore on reactors but we knew you'd appreciate all that is Queen Mitch! Good on ya for noticing Avi in the middle of the song there. Most do miss it as he's overloading the speakers with his bass. :)

Not sure how many people are familiar with Manamal, but Avi broke his sub-woofer. And he turned it into a repair video. Hahaha

Here's the story I've heard concerning this performance: the previous song was a Kevin cello solo and the rest of the band was backstage taking a break during that solo. Mitch was suffering from jet lag and drank two Red Bulls back-to-back. The rest of the group came back onstage and Kevin left to put the cello away, which is why he was not onstage at the beginning. The other four began singing a choral piece that didn't involve Kevin to introduce Aha. Kevin returned to the stage (not seen on camera) just as Avi hit that low note that began the downfall of the Star Vista's sound system. The group then jumped into Aha as Mitch's Red Bulls kicked in. Right at that moment, the camera zooms out a little but and you can see a sly little smile on Kirstie's face as if she knew what was about to happen. Mitch then proceeded to go completely INSANE on stage, while Avi continued to JOYOUSLY destroy the sound system in the background. And thus, you just experienced what most Pentaholics refer to as the greatest live performance of their career!! And to make it more legendary, it was apparently only captured on this fan video!!

Welcome to your first live performance of Pentatonix! The song starts off with the four but the beat boxer (Kevin aka K.O.) joins them onstage once the song picks up (the camera just didn't show him but you can definitely hear him).

Aaand since you guys want more recommendations of their live performances you should definitely watch their 'Bohemian Rhapsody' performance live at the Hollywood Bowl, there's this one video with amazing quality on this channel: 'pi1231', they sound exactly like in the studio version except that this time they perform with an orchestra, and although you can't really appreciate their voices in some parts it is really good and worth watching!! Also, you should check their cover of 'God rest ye merry gentlemen' that is on their channel but you can watch their performance at Jimmy Kimmel's too, it's one of my personal favorites and they sound just like the studio version as well!!!

You should definitely watch their live version of Cracked, Live with Kelly. It's a more Scott centric video and he absolutely KILLS it so I know you guys will love it!

The studio that recorded evolutions say that it is all in one take, but even more impressive is that they only need two or three takes

I'm surprised no one else pointed out that this choral introduction is isn't on the studio version and it is a fairly recent addition to their live shows.

Great reaction! While Avi is doing his incredible solo, you see Mitch turn and start walking to center stage. Scott follows and Kevin takes Scott's spot on the right. Kevin's part is so amazing, and this couldn't be done without all 5 of them.

They love the audiences in Manilla. It is still amazing that a group that uses only their voices as instruments have grown into great concert performers. I LOVE seeing full venues with the audiences rocking out. They don't have to worry about drunks and people stoned taking over their concerts. They honor the music and that is really special.

Yes all their Evolution videos are recorded live once they've worked out the arrangements. PTX has done multiple live performances of the E-O Music, Beyonce and MJ on tour. Really any of their cover videos where you see them with mic stands are all live recordings. If you want to react to live performances without a crowd singing along look for them at smaller venues like Radio Station interviews and Talk Show appearances.

Kevin Olusola had a cello solo previously...between that and Aha he was putting his cello away...he returned and was beat-boxing through out Aha...he's too the right of Scott...but the person videoing this was concentrating on Mitch.

Kevin was putting his cello away and that's why you have the operatic piece at the beginning. Avi He's a classically trained opera singer so he wrote the piece. I got the pleasure of seeing their performance of Aha! Live, and let me tell you. Everyone freaks out hearing Avi over headphones. But feeling his Bass shake your seats really changes your experience. I mean. Feeling every part of Pentatonix singing live is breathtaking. But Avi really is something else
