Thank you for your helpful tips. I am 87 & still working at it. It's great to sound better & never too old. The vowels & the breath support really made a difference for me. How about exercises for eliminating the wobble that can sometimes crop up?
I discuss the wobble in my playlist on Vibrato. Make sure you are supporting properly and not pushing up too much vocal weight. I recommend humming and straw exercises, followed by a vowel.
Don't think I'm ever going to be a great singer Victoria but I must thank you as all my life when talking to people I got phlegm in my throat which really effected me and stopped me conversing with others and while enjoying your videos I did a few of the exercises whilst walking my dogs (as indoors they'd tell me to shut up) and after just a few days, I'm able to speak without any interruptions from my throat, which has been a blight on my life for over 60 years Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
@Healthy Vocal Technique Thanks for your reply and for your help even though I'm getting on it's given me a new found confidence. Wishing you continued success Pat in London
You are probably one of that very rare vocal coach who doesn't hold information and gives it away. Thank you so much! There are some super annoying channels/coaches, who tells you what not to do for 20 minutes but you still don't know what to do right after that 20 mins. Besides I love how clear and instructive your videos are. Just on topic and precise.
Very nice teaching about looong vowels,,,,how to practice to hold the breath,,,your method is very innovative,,,experimented,,very practical,,,inspiring to music lovers who hv a aspiration of becoming a singer,,,, Thank you Madam,,,Looking for still this type of videos,,,,Not to become any great singer,,,,it's just to enjoy the music in our own voice,,,
I'm my late sixties and still singing. I almost stopped because I thought I'm too old to sing, but I saw one of your clips where you mentioned that one is not too old to sing if they have a healthy voice! I was very very encouraged and I've picked up my singing with new stamina. Thanks too for acknowledging our comments. Blessings to you🙏
I’m not a singer but I love to learn from you how to pronounce as English is my second language . Thanks so much for your teaching. Hope you have great international women day Ms 💐💐🙏😘
So excellent …….. I’ve been singing so long and this teaching revealed some vowel issues that limited my ability to sing higher notes. Thanks Victoria!!! Great Stuff!!!
Excellent video. I like your "do this" or "try this" style because it helps me see not just what I want to do but how to do it. Or at least, where I can find my way. I hope someday you will address the question of vowel modification or changing the sound made at higher pitches to achieve both good tone and intelligibility ( I think). Regardless, please keep posting videos. I enjoy them .
Wow great video. Just what my singing needed! 80 percent of results are determined by 20 percent of causes. This video right here is in that 20 percent. Vowel work is SO important.
I learn so much from these videos. They are so great. I went to singing lessons and it did not do so much for me . Feel that i can learn a lot more here. Thank you for sharing Victoria! :-)
I am from Osaka Japan. I just start singing and your vowel placement tips r so helpful. Thank you for sharing your wonderful video. You are my vocal coach!❤
Practicing vowels the way you show, was an epiphany for me. It opened up my singing in ways I could not believe and I am so grateful. Very helpful. Thank you.
This has been a much needed and appreciated video, after so many years of singing and tensing up in the jaw/mouth i now know when to drop my mouth with the dark vowel and when to smile when doing a bright tone, as its all in the vowel sound. thank you so much Victoria

Really love watching your video! You sure is an excellent vocal coach! I would love to learn how to sing properly one day but I am already 70 years old a bit late I think. I love to sing that’s why I found your teaching so good! Thank you for sharing your talents. You are a remarkable singer. God bless you. 😄❤️🙏💐
It's never too late to sing and have fun, Antonia! Please watch my video on that. TOO OLD TO SING? Too Old to Start? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--WKQ2WxXus4.html 💛
@@Victoria-Victorious I wish to have met you when I started singing at 16. I’m almost 43 and still learning. Haha. Well, I feel I have a grip on a Jazz crooner voice now. However, I am sharing videos with my 16 yo son who does theater and needs help with singing part.
Oh my! Thank you soooo much for sharing your wonderful knowledge, insight and experience! Years ago, I started voice lessons and performed twice in a singers showcase. I am re dedicating myself to developing my voice and have to thank you for your inspiration!
Thank you so much for your clear, practical video tips for vocal techniques. I'm so glad to have found your series of videos. Very much to the point and extremely helpful. After following just five of your videos, my voice is already sounding much better. Many, many thanks to you.
I enjoy the way you simply explain vocal training concepts. I'm semi-retired operatic singer, still teaching voice, but do like refreshing all that I learned (and am teaching) from my incredible teacher, Blanche Christensen. With teaching and directing so many private voice students, productions and choirs, it's important for me to stay "in voice." Your reminders help with that. :-)
Lovely instructions, I’m getting my mother to learn to master her voice as a hobby. I’m looking forward to share some of your great techniques you learned so well! Thanks for sharing, your friend Brian :)
I am a Christian song writer but can’t sing. I am also in charge of my church choir so I’m trying to learn to sing so I can better praise God through song so I have committed myself this year to picking one of your lessons each week and practicing everyday that week. It has been helpful so far to at least help me have more confidence in the choir.
You really are a wonderful teacher and I am really looking forward to trying these techniques. I wish I'd heard of you sooner but I am so glad that I have found your channel tonight.
The last time I took singing lessons I was in high school, that was in the late 1980s LOL I don't remember hardly anything that I was taught, but I can tell you I wasn't taught like she's teaching. She has a knack for breaking things down and making them practical, and I am so grateful she has chosen to make videos for People Like Us.
@@Victoria-VictoriousThis is so much more helpful than when my Voice Lessons Instructor made me scream-sing as loud as I could, trying to bounce my voice off of a wall. 😳 I paid a lot of money for those silly lessons.
I just want to thank you for taking the time to show us how easy it is to develop a voice which will enable us to sing. I always wanted to know more on singing, as I am taking music to play the steel pan which I enjoy. Now I can move forward, bcus of what you taught us. Singing is great, but having a smoother rhythm is great. Thanks again, and hoping to do more follow up from you... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank You Victorious Victoria!! You are so beautiful with your talent of expertise! I’m a Resource Teacher at a private school and I teach Music as one of the classes I teach. Your information in these videos is phenomenal and so easy to follow!🤩🙌🏽
I want to learn more from you and apply it when i sing. You give me hope because I love music and singing. Currently, i'm not actually proud of my singing voice and I'm hoping I can follow all the lessons you are teaching.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and teaching online! Very nice in between my singing classes to practice and improve my voice/singing. Much appreciated!
Thank you so much, you changed my voice & ability to sing by one sentence: "Your voice is between your molars, not in your teeth (loose translation)." Thanks again,❤.
i’m 84 use to have pretty good singing voice, but due to lack of use i’m now a bass!!!! Any exercises to strengthen vocal cords… just for my own enjoyment !!! I play piano every day !!!

:) I felt like you were here talking to me. Its like you spent years performing on theatre, and if that was the case, I would've love to see you sing and act. This is just the way I could describe how I felt when watching this video and it made me stay and learn some new tips. And Mrs. Victoria is also very funny🤣 I am really grateful. Thank you.
I freakin love you, Victoria!!! You heave answered so many simple things I've thought of and never got out of my past vocal lessons!! I love how clear and concise you explain things.😍😍😍
Filipino are perfect in this vowels because of alphabetical books in grade 1 written in tagalog a e i o u Word starting in kindergarten in abakada Books. Thats why we have more filipino Singers becaused of this foundation in the tounge since her elementary lessons Thank you.
