Coach Brian could you make a video about your story? How you came to own your own gym and how you started in grappling? Stuff like that. Another great video btw 👍

Great to see Anton back. Brian focuses on teaching wrestling to beginners/grapplers, while Anton shows intermediate and advance moves for wrestlers. It's a great combo for the channel.

Coach, could you talk about escaping the front headlock when the opponent underhooks with his non-headlock arm? It doesn't feel like the sucker drag is possible there

You’re right! I would love to do it when I get a chance!

Loved the video. Would we be able to say a single leg finish when caught under front headlock? I often find i can grab the leg under front headlock but can't really do anything with it.

Nice single leg finish. Anton still has serious mobility issues. I don't know his age but he will need 2 or 3 years to recover naturally or 6 months to a 1 year with some "supplement".I would like to se more videos in intermediary and advance level from Anton.

Respect to Anton, but when he demos the single leg shot with you at 7:00, he puts his trail hand (right hand) on top, which is the reverse of what he teaches at the beginning of the video (trail hand on bottom). I've seen high-level coaches teach it both ways. I know in your videos you show trail hand on top, which I also prefer. There are pros and cons to both and I don't think it's a huge difference-maker either way. But in competition, I mostly see wrestlers put the trail hand on top because I think it's the more natural and instinctual thing to do. For my wrestling, I find putting the trail hand on top is technically better (in addition to being more natural) because I think it is stronger due to the change in the angle of force being put on the grip by the opponent's sprawl. So it is better when I get sprawled on and need to recover--pretty much what you show in your "Best way to lock to finish a single leg" video. Now with the traditional gable grip single leg, it's natural to have the trail hand on bottom because putting your lead hand palm up feels weird/weak. So having the trail hand on bottom when using a gable grip (which we are all taught) feels better and has the added benefit that Anton explains of being harder to peel. Anyway, that's my perspective!
