what happens if you miss a downshift in a paddle shift car when stopping or going too slow for the gear in general? will it automatically shift down for you?
I have a 2010 335xi sedan n54 any recommendations on upgrades? I’m looking to straight pipe it and any suggestions on how to get it to crackle more? I’m the summer time on a cold start you can really hear the twin turbos and it crackles a little bit but not when I’m driving . Am also looking at replacing the turbo any recommendations there?
Nice! I would go on forums on Facebook and stuff and see what everyone uses and what they have to say about it, I’ve never had twins so not sure how those are really but single is really fun, maintenance just do it as you go when stuff fails, and have a shop look it over to make sure everything’s good.
You seem to prefer the n54 platform over n55. Why? I’m going to buy another 335 soon and I want this clean white 2014 with red interior and 35k miles but obviously it’s a n55. It’s also expensive, I could get a 340 for a couple more grand.. I had a 08 335 xi awd (before it was called xdrive) previously and I loved how the jb4 and mhd backend was able to work together and the endless options. Are there limitations on a n55? Should I be looking for a low mileage unicorn n54? Love your videos btw. Make a video of costs of ownership, what kind of maintenance do you run on it? How often are you changing injectors? Fuel pump? What mileage is your car? Would you be afraid of getting a 100k mileage 335 and going fbo + jb4 etc etc? Am I asking for trouble? Thanks
First of all you got a 320i, different engine, different gearbox. If you got a manual, rev matching and exhaust would give you downshifting act the same obv. with different sound.
