I went to a black male doctor once and he told me Black women were the ones who had the most issue with their feminine hygiene. Not because we are not clean, because we are too clean. He said White women don't clean it as much so they have no issue.You are not suppose to use soap(especially with perfum) to clean your private area. It disturbs your ph which causes infections that lead to odor. Some women are less ph sensitive than others that's why they don't know better(like using dove soap). And that guest complaining about a female hygiene, has daughters who he is taking care of. He doesn't even know anything about ph balance, how would he teach his daughters? Our community(men and women)needs to be more educated on the subject.
Naw sis, I can’t agree with you on this one. I’ve had more conversations with the folks who do the waxing and laser hair removal and they’ve said women in general just do not wipe good enough. As a PA who had to work almost every shift, I found that women were not wiping good enough back there and in between the lips. That’s the majority of why there’s a smell.

Yes some will wipe from back to front which will bring bacteria to your vagina and cause infections. So that can be a possibility. But the smell he was describing was definitely an infections, not just an issue of not wiping the lips properly.

What did it smell like? A vagina has a variety of smells. Was it due to post period? Urine? A bacterial infection? An std? Some smells can't be washed away with a bath or shower. Find the root and be helpful.
