The timing on that Lawn Mower is one of best for jump scare, the lawn mower itself makes you focus to it and draw your 100% attention adding the creepy sound with a little bit silent background makes it one of the best time for jump scare 😅
One of my favorite elements of this movie is how the soundtrack plays in the background while the MCs move out of the house - it's like Baghul is impatiently tapping his fingers on a table somewhere, waiting for his moment to strike... 0_0
This is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It’s so unique in concept of the films being part of this entity as gateways and essentially parasites of the younger children as well as not needing to rely on jumpscaring the audience for the intensity of the moment, it relies on naturally built tension for those eerie moments. Sure there’s a couple jumpscares but honestly only one of them felt cheap (the one at the very very end). Instant horror classic
This was the first horror movie that genuinely gave me nightmares as an adult. I can’t even listen to some of the soundtrack without my blood pressure rising, it's that disturbing.
the lawn mower scene jeeesusss…. i will never forget. that scared TF out of me AND SCARRED me and i’m a long time fan of the saw franchise this was just a different animal 😭💀
So... I have a story about this. In Korea, they called this movie 'Murder Novel' and made a woman in white background doing hush pose in a poster. So what did my friend do? told me it was a thriller movie not a horror movie. I went in. Screamed my ass out.
13:16 there used to be a website that was passed around my year grade (grade 7 in 2013) as a challenge. On it was a collection of videos that progressively got worse and worse, and the challenge was to make it through all of them. Stuff like what's in this movie was pretty much what the later entries in the "challenge" website were. Let's just say that anyone who used the website definitely got put on some sort of list.
As a fellow Horror enthusiast, Sinister, Session 9, and Incident In a Ghostland are the three movies that made me need a break midway through to breathe 🤣
As someone who is italian, i can confirm people do say gabagool for capicola. The first time i tried to buy some in the market i was so confused looking for something spelled like "gabagool" lmaoo. But cool thing about the movie is all the snuff films were actually shot on 8mm film so the stunts and practical effects were impressive
I saw this at the movies and I’m not one to get caught by jump scares often. But in front of the big screen, the lawn mower scare got every single person in the theatre it was terrifying
Cooooooody hunny bish when you solved it I had the dog head tilt and smile like thank you!!!! Detective Cody serving yet again y’all are a beautiful team hehehehe
I saw this movie in theaters at the midnight release. Awesome movie but worst decision i made at that time, i didnt sleep at all that night lmao your reaction was definitely entertaining. Keep up the good work :)
Omg I love you guys so much, I really did enjoy the paranormal aspect of this movie and I would give a 8 out of 10 but the best part of these videos is your guys reactions they are hilarious 🤣
The weird music that plays in this movie during the tapes is so fucking scary to me, I cannot explain it it’s just horrible. Especially the car tape you can hear it most in that one I think
Fun trivia - inspired by a nightmare that the scriptwriter (C. Robert Cargill) had after seeing The Ring in 2001. You can definitely see the link, but you can also tell that this was a script that took a long time to develop enough to actually make.
This is a 10/10 in mine and many peoples opinion. And now you two have got to react to "Hereditary" and "Oddity" they're a must if you haven't seen them. All masterpieces.
This film truly has one of the creepiest soundtrack scores I’ve ever heard . When I first watched this with my mom, she literally had me shut it off after the film ended, and the movie credits started so fast because the music was so disturbing to her and creeped her out
Loved y’all’s reaction! This is one of my faves. It’s just so unsettling & creepy. Have you guys watched Hereditary?? I would love to see a reaction to that one!🙌❤️❤️
So if you think about it, at least one person in all those families watched the videos and the demon entered/followed them.. a bunch of idiots if I may 😂
These creepy films remind me of the alternate opening of Halloween I think resurrection where there was a film playing at beginning with the Myers family having fun course the difference is all the kids are normal I guess acting but in that Michael was always facing a shed they kept saying to turn around and he finally does and he looks so mean lol. Who's filming was it the kids I guess right cause judging by the end that's what that girl doing lol
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but apparently for the pool drowning scene, they did have scuba divers in the pool to make sure the actors in these scenes got oxygen.
This movie would scared the shit out parents because the kids was the ones drugging murdered they own family in disturbing ways.Very underrated scary movie of all time
11:35 "Just turn on some lights in your house." This was LITERALLY me through the entire movie, from start to finish. "Why won't you EVER turn on a single light?? Even when there's creepy scary sh!t going on? ESPECIALLY when there's creepy scary sh!t going on??" And for that reason alone, I simply couldn't take this movie seriously. Completely popped me out of suspension of disbelief into, "well, this is bullsh!t..." 'Cause, like, literally any normal human being would simply turn on a light. At least once. Just to see what's going on in dark rooms where something is making noise, or whatever. I mean, make the light bulb burn out, if you have to, or the power go out. But the human being should be smart enough to at least flip a freakin' light switch.
I rewatched this recently and I can’t help wonder how things would’ve played out if he’d just called the sheriff and handed the tapes over without watching them.
Still awesome but I figured it out back when it came out and I watched it when they kept showing on his boards about each films family all bodies found except one kid and he puts a note saying where are you and stuff im like oh I know who's doing it lol. Yeah those films were creepy first time watching this it was middle of night or three am so yeah those dam films but mainly its the music lol. Good catch though yeah where did the box come from lol .
Genuinely I movie I don't want to watch myself again. Any time I do get a slight urge watching a reaction instead as a buffer seems like a better option to avoid a sleepless night 😅
I looked at your videos and I was sure that you reacted to 2020 "Host" but maybe I was wrong, you should react to that, is the most scariest movie I ever seen, I didn't slept at night after watching it 😭
I gave it a 4/5 on LetterBoxd, so about an 8/10. I do feel like it is almost a 4.5 for me, (closer to a 4.5 than a 4.) Most of my reasons are a bit nitpicky as well tho.
