I thought that too before I stepped into the theatres. I think it's the element of surprise that got me, and the fact that the sound was cranked up pretty well in the theatres, so it didn't really matter if the scene was scary, the volume was enough to make me jump.

I am so glad I saw the movie before watching the trailer. Two minutes and thirty-five seconds of spoilers right here. Do yourself a favor and if you haven't seen this trailer yet or read anything about the movie - don't. Just go see it. You won't regret it. My girlfriend and I were two of the only people in the theater and it was a thrilling experience. One of the best movies I have seen in quite a while, not a masterpiece or anything, but something special in it's own light.

you're right, them saying "Shhh!" was scary, it was supposed to be unsettling, just like the names on the tapes. "Hanging out", "Pool Party", "Family BBQ", etc.

So first the same people make "Insidious," then they make "Sinister." I'm going to go way out on a limb here and predict that their next movie is titled something like "Malicious," or "Dastardly." Hollywood really does have the best writers in the world.

Ethan Hawke Fans. EXPLORERS is now on Netflix Instant. It's awesome to watch one his first big movies when he was a kid. And it has a funny alien in it, so you can't go wrong streaming that one.

Slender man is still by far the creepiest. Although this does have a lot of slender man like traits. He takes children, can only be seen in photos (some consider slender man to be a 4th dimensional being), due to the fact that he haunts you as soon as you seen him, some consider slender man to only exist because people believe he exists. Sadly this one just seems like another pop out horror film, something about a man with no face stalking you speaks volumes.

Bagul is identified as a Pagan deity that jumps through dimensions. Demon Bagul is the consumer of children. So it's a demon on it's own, not really based off of Slenderman

Have you seen all 3 endings on the first one? There is one ending that havent been released that is impossible to follow with a second movie. That ending was awesome.

I saw house at the end of the street last night with my boyfriend and group of friends, and this trailer came on. I'm a HUGE scary movie person. This movie trailer, alone, was scarier then the whole movie I was seeing at the time. I jumped about eight times in this two minute trailer, and couldn't look at the screen. Let's just say my reply was, "Holy crap...I have to see that." Plus, all positive reviews on rotten tomatoes!

Its something like Slender man. Sudden Child abductions, Consumes Child Souls. There is no doubt that this was inspired by Slender. But overall very good trailer for the movie, Looking forward to watching it.
