Hello!
For today's easy recipe, we will be making siopao asado! I will talk about the secret to make the dough whiter! Click the video to find out!
Enjoy cooking!
Ingredients:
For Filling:
1/2 kg pork
1 cup water
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
4 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp onion
2 tbsp garlic
2 tbsp shortening
Anis
For Dough:
4 cups flour
2 cups warm milk
1 tbsp baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp yeast
4 tbsp lard or shortening
4 tbsp white sugar

Why theres a conflict with your recipe? in your 6 1/2 cups all purpose flour, you have a 1 tbsp yeast and 3 tbsp of baking powder but in your other recipe with only 4 cups all purpose flour you put 1 1 /2 yeast and 1 tbsp of baking powder? Which is Which? What are we going to follow? Pls explain🥺🥺🥺😩😩😩😥😥😥

Rona Hullana try mo na halos magkakadikit sila kapag nilagay sa steamer ( like 1/2 inch ang agwat nila ) para maganda ang shape nila.Na kapag naluto magkakadikit sila.

I think you made a mistake with your cups of warm milk. I tried it and it is so wet. Can you check again, maybe only 1 cup not 2 cups..

david dela vega Hindi na kasi umaalsa na siya habang naglalagay ka ng filling sa dough.Ung pinakauna mong nagawa ang unahing I steam at habang inisteam umaalsa naman ung natira.

Victor1977 ung dami nito it takes 20-30 mins ilagay ung filling ng siopao, Kaya kapag natapos muna lahat gawin ung pinaka unang nagawa un ang unang isteam then habang nakasalang patuloy na umaalsa ung natira.salamat!

I tried this recipe but my dough tasted bitter. Do you think the 1.5 Tbsp yeast is too much? I’m no expert, just want to know where I failed. I noticed that other siopao recipes requires only 7 grams of yeast. 1 Tbsp =14.3 grams.

Susana Tanjuaquio I just used quick rise yeast, this is the best one.I noticed that the dry active yeast has a strong smell.

Jayzel Bequilla Baka ang dough mo sobrang soft,Kapag sobrang soft ang dough imasa mo Lang siya sa konting flour habang binibilog then saka ilagay ang filling. Salamat po huwag Lang magsawang magtry uli practice makes perfect.Salamat po uli!!!

Beautiful fluffy buns! Love them. Wish mind would turn out like that every time. It's a little hard to read the ingredients and measurements when so small as I would like to try out your recipie.

Pink Butterfly ung dough dapat tama ang texture hindi cya dapat masyadong soft compare sa paggawa ng tinapay,hindi matigas o masyadong malambot ang dough,Kapag sobrang malambot nagkukulubot at nagfaflat pagkaluto.

nagmasa po ako ngayun ng dough bakit po ganun sinunod ko naman ingredients pero bat madikit ung dough kahit matagal ko ng minamasa, ginawa ko po kada madikit binubudbudan ko po mg harina hanggang mawala mna dikit siguro umabot po ng mga sampung budbod hanggan sa mawala. tama po ba ung ganun?

Aaron Dela Cruz Ganoon talaga siya kailangang soft ang dough ok Lang na madikit, after mong mapaalsa ng isang oras, maganda na ang texture ng dough at pagkatapos ifold lang ang pagmasa ,then paalsahin mo uli ng 1 oras.

BobMyls Houser Never ko pang na try yang self rising flour,it's combination of all purpose flour,baking powder and salt .Pwede mong skip ung baking powder sa ingredients ng siopao.Salamat.

Your siopao looks perfect. I hope I can make it this good. Btw, can you rise the dough after putting the filling inside instead of 2x in the beginning? Do you not put cornstarch or thickener anymore for your filling and why? Thanks so much.
