Seems like redeem option is far better. This switch thing is an etye wash and waste. Switching has the same tax implications as redemption and also limits us from changing AMCs whereas Redeem is super flexible.

As an example, I invest 1000 in SIP. AFTER 13 months my invested amount is 13000. And if profit is in negative like 12680 or something, and I wanted to switch regular to direct on same AMC same plan. Is there any tax applicable?. Here in my example I'm on loss.. pls confirm the same. Thanks

Sir mai ek mutual fund distributor hoon aur Mera ek client hai jo Zerodha me direct SIP karta hai.... Ab uska Zerodha wala SIP stop kara k mai apne partner code pe uska SIP karunga to mujhe commission milega ya nahi ? Ya change of broker form bharna padega ?
Sir I want to clear my doubt. Please help Agar mera STCG Rs. 83000 hai or LTCG Rs 3490000 or Gross total income Rs. 0 hai to mera total payable Tax Rs 0 banega kya ? Kyuki STCG ka section 87A se mera 12500 tax bach jaayega or LTCG mai mera 100000 ka exemption mil jayega or bache hue 249000 par koi tax nhi lagega kyuki wo < 250000 wale bracket mai aata hai . Sir, i have switched from sbi small cap regular fund to sbi contra fund direct through investap and transaction shows successful on 21.05.2024 but not visible in portfolio, so i want to ask if the amount switched would be in contra fund lumpsum or can we start (add) sip in the same contra fund direct, will it be added to old fund switched? Bro I need your help. I was investing in Edelweiss regular since 3 years ( 4000 per month) And now it's 155000 and profit is 95000, that means total is 250000. And then I switched that to direct , now my investment is 250000 with 0 profit. So how it will work now? How compounding will work?
