Siphon bottle filler - Restoration 

Welcome to today's video where you saw the renovation of an old siphon bottle filler.
Siphon bottles are devices for the production of water, enriched with carbon dioxide, used for the home production of soda using bombs filled with CO2.
Whipped cream bottles work on a similar principle, and they also use nitrous oxide (NO2) bombs to produce whipping cream.
The first atomizer concept was introduced in 1790 in France. In 1829, two Frenchmen applied for a patent for a hollow corkscrew that was drilled into the stopper of a bottle and allowed the contents to be discharged in a controlled manner using a valve.
Pressure was maintained in the bottle and carbon dioxide was prevented from evaporating from the drink. Siphon bottles became really popular in the 20th century.
In the Czech Republic, metal siphon bottles were produced from anodized aluminum at the Sandrik company, and glass bottles braided with metal mesh at the Kovočas production cooperative in Děčín. The mass popularity of the siphon ended very prosaically, bombs filled with gas simply ceased to be produced.
After 1989, the local market was first flooded with sparkling water in pet bottles and then with flavored waters carbonated with CO 2. In recent years, the preparation of homemade soda in the form of a soda stream has returned to fashion.
