Sir Jim Ratcliffe says he is not the person that will decide Erik ten Hag's fate as Manchester United manager.
Ten Hag has endured a torrid start to the season and alarming performances against Tottenham and Porto have increased the pressure on his position as manager.
But part-owner Ratcliffe is leaving the final call on Ten Hag to sporting director Dan Ashworth and CEO Omar Berrada.
Asked if he has faith in Ten Hag, he told BBC Sport: “I don’t want to answer that question…I like Erik.
"I think he’s a very good coach but at the end of the day it’s not my call, it’s the management team that’s running Manchester United that have to decide how we best run the team in many different respects.

The “process” thing sounds nice and all. But how do you argue against 3 wins in 9 games? Bear in mind one of those 3 wins has come against a league one side, and the other is a relegation battle, with 1 point in 6 games in the Premier League. It’s actually abysmal.

Mate, you need to understand rebuilding is not as fast as we all anticipated, there is nothing abysmal here under a proper structure, and the management won't judge on the past two years, ask Arteta and Klopp what's the definition of abysmal in their 1st 3years of building you will be flabbergasted. Hard to understand ETH. He keeps saying the team is fighting, and I am wondering who is fighting in this united team? The players are just doing their job, but I do not see them fighting to be honest. Caesmiro is the only player I think understands what it means to fight for a team, and comparing his performances btw now and in Madrid, he is not fighting. What time do you need eth? You have spent over 700mil? Got all your ajax players. Question how is it possible for alot of players from the same team with the same coach need so much time just to be able yo pass the ball?
