She didnt cry because she saw another chick with the boss. Also , this movie is about love being at the core and everything else being peripheral. It's beautiful. And the dignity with which Ratna( the maid) approaches the turmoil is inexplicable.
She didn't cried but her happiness faded instantly when she saw that chick leaving , and she thought that he just wanted to get laid with her eventually.
I read that part differently. It looked like Ratna was sad for her boss who actually appeared sad also at hearing that the one night stand had left without saying goodbye. It's almost as of he felt sorry for himself for having indulged in meaningless sex and Ratna felt sorry for him too.
I don’t think the trailer is a true representation of this film. It’s not just a love story, it’s much more than that. It’s such a beautiful film and I’m glad I watched it without watching the trailer so I have no preconceived notion of how things would play out.
ending bit where JABY and ACHARA states "Thats why this is not going to happen" and laughs was the best moment for me. Because they respect each other and yet being so close after all this time, they share such a good bond and still enjoy each others company. I mean how often you see people like this .... Im happy that I see both in same frame makes me happy
Please watch the movie before any reaction. There is such dignity in the character of the house help, I was left feeling so inspired. Your station in life has no bearing on your aspirations. It's just beautiful. Just watch.
A little tidbid fact..the writer/director Rohena Gera wrote the first season of popular hindi tv show "Jassi Jaisi koi nahi"...which was remake of the telenovella upon which Ugly Bettty was based on and there too the story revolved around the boss Armaan and worker Jassi's love stroy the problems that those class divide presented and the hesitation that both felt about each other because of their backgrounds .....no wonder she wrote such a beautiful love story with the same theme....we all grew up with Jassi jaisi koi nhi and its a classic and the first season of the show was so amazing but it got so convoluted later when she left it
The class division in general is a huge factor to find partners. But especially in India breaking the class barrier is usually such a taboo subject that it isn't even thought about. And if it happens it is majorly looked down upon. It also comes from the fact that people of a certain class aren't even expected to rise above, even though it might be appreciated by many. But that is where it stops
This is a must-watch movie and thanks to Netflix for making it possible to watch it. I just hope Tillotama got the recognition and dur she deserved. She is so talented and I hope Netflix helps her show the world what a gem she is to Bollywood Industry.
Films like this revolves more around the direction, storytelling, carema work and all the other artistic form and ofcourse performance of the actors than the actual plot because obviously the plot is simple and if you stick to the reality we all know what the end will be so plot wise there's nothing to hide from the audience so I feel the trailer was edited out well.... It would be very nice if Jaby your team reacts to this film rather than typical Bollywood films just to see the direction and screenplay. And performance of Tilottama. She was brilliant. If not watched pl consider watching it on your channel.
I m glad u finally watched this .. Such a amazing Story .. very natural and felt real .. and also glad it’s not sexual Or lusty relationship like mostly we assume between maid boss story .. really need a review .. 💛 would love to know your reaction
Its a brilliant movie which went unoticed for 2 long years between all the star kid stuff ! Finally Netflix decided to stream it....Thank god OTT exists so that we decided to see what we want & appeciate good cinema rather than just watching whats served to us by doing a hell lot of PR ! This movie is soo simply beautiful that you'll actually forget its a movie & just go with the flow...and the leads r such good actors !!!
It's a beautiful film. It made me ponder a lot.. about class segregation. Even the film White Tiger dealt with the same subject but from a different angle. I loved both the films.
Agreed. I am in the US, and I loved both films very much. For Tillotama, this is one of the many shining moments in her career. I can't wait to see what she does next. I am very appreciative of all her film work.
In last few days a lot of stuff has dropped like teasers/trailers of Kala, the priest,Jana gana mana,Aadhar,a peek into D company,powder,A1 express, check, rocky, rider,Sonam, rage of rudra,1962 war in hills, great Indian kitchen, sajan bakery 1962 but you haven't reacted to them pls do these also
my god it's so easy for most people in India/world to interpret the thumbnail or title of this movie at the first glance as taboo but it's nice to see that someone is exploring such a premise, from a real yet different perspective ...... I probably wouldn't have watched it...if you guys didn't react to it...so thanks Jaby and Achara! 😀👍
Please react to some Bengali content. You haven't uploaded even a single Bengali trailer reaction on this channel since November, 2019. So many lovely Bengali films are available on various OTTs but you're just not exploring these hidden gems. Please react to these Bengali films' trailers 👇 1) Dracula Sir 2) Habji Gabji 3) Cheeni 4) Sahaj Paather Gappo 5) Asha Jaoar Majhe 6) Nirbaak 7) Nirbashito 8) Shankhachil 9) Shabdo 10) Kia and Cosmos 11) Nagarkirtan 12) Dhananjay 13) Vinci Da 14) Kedara 15) Gumnaami
Don’t miss this one @Jabster and @Achara! #TillotamaShome is a class act. She’s my favourite Indian actress. Not only does she have a very unique persona she literally is like water, becoming whatever she is poured into. I first spotted her in #MonsoonWedding (which I highly recommend you watch) where she with #VijayRaaz owned the film. She has evolved her craft so much more and you’ll hardly get to watch subtle nuanced performances of this caliber in Indian Cinema. Please watch the film... it is heartwarming!
@jabykoay the republic day live stream is back on your channel..delete is ASAP...looks like youtube doesnt't like you...it automatically reuploaded the video on your channel XD
