hey one big update for the 2022 S7 models is that beyond changing the pickup covers, controls and pick guard to ivory, they changed the bridge to a zebra and added the ability to split the coils on the humbucker using a push/push tone knob. Just received mine (in blue) two weeks ago. WORTH THE WAIT!! (4 months). Would love to see you do an updated video
I love this guy he gets down to the point and I agree with literally everything he said about sire infact I ordered the sire LP gold and black for trade for a fender stratocaster player even trade.i don't care about the name I want the quality I honestly don't really like stratocaster it's not as well built as the sire
They didn't just change the covers ;). The newer pickups are actually an upgrade. The mid-range on the newer pickups give you a little more punch/boost over the 1st Generations.
Nice and smooth playing John, great guitar too... I will soon be building my first guitar, this Larry Carlton will be my starting point in a number of guitar building areas…5.00 am greet from the Netherlands 🎸🎶💎👌
I have the Sire S7 V in vintage white with gold pickguard. It's absolutely beautiful. Great value at £499 and easily beat the Fenders and Squires I played it against.
A few months before this vid, I ordered mine in blue. They are really beautiful guitars for the price. It took 7 months to get it, but the wait is worth it.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Loved it so much I bought the Generation 2 S7 FM transparent Blue from Sweetwater with a pro setup. It's rapidly become my number one. The zebra pickups are phenomenal and the push/push pot really adds another level of great tone when splitting the humbucker. For my hands the neck actually feels as though it was custom made.
I buyed one today ... This is my clean guitar and i must say even the tremello is good after using it it stayed perfectly in tune .. Normally i only play gibson and GtR kind of guitars but i am happy that i switched .. I gave me inspiration
First of all Jon, your playing is so soulful and inspiring. Based on this, and several other positive reviews, I have ordered 4 Sire guitars. The H7 (Vintage Sunburst), L7 (Tobacco Sunburst), S7FM (Natural), and T7FM (Natural). They should arrive in 4 to 5 months and I can't wait. I am a left-handed player so finding quality guitars at reasonable prices can be a real challenge sometimes. Thanks for posting up such awesome content and reviews!
Thanks for your review. I love your playing. It creates a relaxing mood & is reminiscent of the 70’s in many ways, yet you can still tear it up with the best of them when you want
Jon, You convinced me to buy this guitar. I just received it and I want to thank you very much. This guitar is wonderful.❤ I admire what you do. My regards. 🙏
Hi Jon I just order the same guitar your playing. I found one in Chicago, it will be here this Friday 9/16/22. I use to play guitar in high school, will be learning from beginning. Your playing is amazing, hope to get there someday.
Ordered the Sire S7FM Blue / with the coil split - two days ago. I suggest others do the same, they have gone up in price and will probably continue to do so. Cant wait :)
WOW Jon! Love this jazzy intro. I think you sold this guitar before the review lol. Sire has indeed got a great guitar here. The price is very reasonable, and offers stiff competition to some of the high priced big name brands. Thanks for all you do Jon ... We appreciate it brother!
Jon, I've been following you for a while - and I want to say that your playing is fantastic !!!! I could just sit back and relax and not WORRY about anything, you're a GREAT guitarist!!!! I don't have a lot of money and on the fence between the T7FM and the S7FM..... decisions - decisions ........... Thanks again, Bro........
Love your playing and your reviews, Jon. This is a beautiful guitar and quite a nice price too. You always find super interesting guitars to review. Thank you!
I have the Sire T7 Tele style. I am blown away by how great this instrument feels, sounds and plays. Sire did amazing with the Larry Carlton line!! Great review Jon. Thank you.
Love this video, beautiful playing. Sweetwater is getting a shipment mid April and I have mine pre-ordered since December, so I am really excited for it to arrive. Stay safe and keep rocking!
Thank you for this review Jon! I'm close following the S7 over the last few months and had the opportunity to play one of the SSS "Vintage" models. It just blown me away and now I'm on the verge to get one.
What an amazing instrument Jon. It’s a fair price for what you get. That bridge looks really solid. I’ve been curious about this brand for a while, especially the ES style hollow body. They look great too. Excellent as usual Jon - thanks 🙂👍
jeff beck to steve vai and everything in between. you makin me inspired too much i wish to be like you someday! very nice playing! the gears featured are just a bonus here - the music is the real treat!
Jon - it's been a while since I talked to you. I'm seriously looking into purchasing a guitar (Sire S7FM) that you are demonstrating and it seems like I'm going that way. The sound from all positions of the pick-ups are great, and of course I could listen to you play forever -- you're AWESOME man......Thank You and give a hug to your puppies........!!!!!

Just ordered the new model SIre S7 fm. This is my third Sire and love them all . Try the A4 plays and sounds as good as a $2k Taylor at 1/4 of the price. Also have a L7 . nice playing and sounding guitar.
Hurray! You finally got a Sire! I knew you would like it. Notice the tuning pegs vary in height. That's what eliminates the need for a string tree. I hope you try out the T7 FM also and at least one of the A4 acoustics. Your price was off though. At Sweetwater they are $599 for the vintage and $659 for the FM. Such a deal! Thanks, Jon
Thanks for responding Jon. Sorry about the pricing mistake. I’m kinda brain dead. I always just thought it was the price in the US not the price in Singapore in US dollars. Duh…🤯 anyway, I’m glad you like the Sire.
Nice review, I ordered one of these guitars, hard to find! I needed to order it from France (living in Sweden) and I'll get it in a couple of days... Hope I enjoy it as much as you explained it... 😀
Hi Jon, I just became a subscriber to your channel! I especially love your clean sounds. Very beautiful and sophisticated. My question is, what gear do you use to record and create this sound? Do you use a kemper, helix or something else to create it? I'm dying to know ;) Greets Nathan from Holland!
Great review... Great playing. Been wanting one of these since they've announced it last year (or was it the year before) but they are not available in any of the music shops in Perth Australia.
Mine is on the way , after listening to you jam. However, reality hit when I realised I can’t play like you. I am really concerned about some saying the neck is too narrow or the top E slips on a pull-off. Update: mine arrived and within five minutes I had noticed fret buzz on the low E , high action, I am left handed and right hand volume and right hand tone meaning up is down and down is up. So I will send it back and see what happens. I worked in the wood industry so I know I could have got a Monday made guitar. Let’s wait and see but now i got to wait again.
At last you have reviewed a guitar that i bought last year. Sire have realy hit the nail on the head with these guitars, and they are a far better buy than any Fender Strat. It's one of the few guitars that i have never had to setup, it just plays as smooth as silk. If you are a S style guitar player, buy one you will have to pay a lot more to even come close to these. Thanks for your review Jonathan, will you be keeping this one?🙂
Always enjoy your reviews. Unfortunately Sire guitars are unavailable in the US for now. I was told probably July by sweetwater. So I bought a Jack Fowler Schecter . I'm a small guy and I like the thin C. I gave it a set up with hybrid 9's and it is so easy to play. I owned a schecter in the mid 80's , it was like a parts tele with strat neck.
Oh that lush reverb algorithm.....my cup of tea there in that opening. I wish my paralysis in right pinky and ring finger was a bit less numb as I could try and swell with volume knob. Hahah. I use foot pedal. I know I'm using the easy way. And now I'm very very dependant on my playing with one. Hahahah. Awesome review Jon!!!!!! Hello from Ga US with Roo.
Great playing - I wish I could play one but they’re on back order here. I have a G&L S500 Tribute which is my #1 - prefer it over my Fender American standard for playability & tonal variety. Thinking about the Legacy HSS but this Sire really looks & sounds awesome. Your thoughts? 😊
