Virgin Nigeria > Nigeria Eagle > Air Nigeria > Nigeria Air. All with govt involvement, all failed woefully. Designate some local carriers as flag carriers and give conditions for flag carrier status (eg: flag carrier must be a public company etc).
If had listened to him, the whole thing was done with due diligence which the bidding process, and Ethiopia wone, remember they the only African country that airline constitute to economy by gdp hence they are masters of the game like he said. Its aviation standard, before an airline can actually fly there are many underground work been carried out, PAPER DOCUMENTATION and many more this team must be paid its usually a number of 10 or less people working, and it might span up to 2 years before the airplane even starts to fly, aviation business is really CAPITAL INTENSIVE
The good senator has represented himself well. I believe our agencies should be proactive to quell this misinformation firsthand. This man is being smart by half..... 1) A 5% equity partner designed the logo, brand the company and unveiled it for free.....? 2) Sahcol owned what 15% percentage shares but wasn't invited to the unveiling. 3) The MD was employed by who ? Company without a board of directors, no ground operations staff, no website etc. 4) Post holders were contracted by who ? the same 5% equity partner ? 5) On the MFFV, where are the spares, how many perssonel have been sent on this training in the deal, and where ?.....because this was not disclosed ab initio but 12b was declared. This interview was arranged to help Mr. Sirika launder his image. I once boarded a flight to Lag with a retired flight engr who was Mr. Sirika Snr where they worked. Sirika was a flight technician, not a captain. Man said he wasn't so bright.

You failed to press the ex-minister on how much he spent on the project. He gave you how much was allocated but failed to tell you exactly how much was spent. 2. You failed to press him on the court order. The ministry has law department to advise him. 3. I am surprised that we heard the same thing but interpret it differently. I heard him say Address me as either Senator Hadi or just Hadi. I feel that was he been down to earth knowing that he preferred to be called his name. Reuben choose to call him Senator Hadi instead of just Hadi. Don’t understand why Sirika kept on referring to shareholders who have not paid for their equity positions as confirmed by Sirika himself. These guy need to be seriously investigated. There are no shareholders as of yet.
