okay i know this comment is from two years ago, but still, same! in the books Harry’s excitement is clear, “Have you got a house? When can I move in?” I wish they’d shown that in the movies! still, i really like this scene

I actually teared up when Sirius talked about Hogwarts. All he wanted was to be free, and he never was free again. This was his last time seeing the school. And the music was painfully beautiful... I'm crying now
I teared up when I was reading. Sirius was so exhausted and slim. He never got a warm word until Hermione asked him politely about the details of his story. He was so shocked of that attitude he was given for the first time of long long years of hatred. And he still loved James and Lilly as he now loves Harry. It was... so heartbreaking...
This is the first time the audience is shown Sirius as his true innocent self. Prior to this scene, all we knew about Sirius was what other people were saying/presuming about him. Murderous, psychopath, you name any wrong thing in the book. This is my favorite Sirius scene (pun intended) because we finally hear the victim of all kinds of rumors finally speak his mind and his heart and his perspective on life.
Hard to say. In this case yes. Harry was very happy when Sirius suggested this. Harry/Sirius interactions are better in the movies than books. In the movie he says how loved ones never really leave us. In the Order of the Phoenix movie he reassured Harry that he's a good person. And in the book he said that Harry should get more sleep.
Maybe it would have cleared his name in the original charges but in the end, he would have actually killed Peter Pettigrew, bringing both him & Remus to Square 1.
No. ☺ He has visited before this. He entered Harry's dormitary to find scabbers. He was seeing Hogwarts everynight..after he came running here from Azkaban in disguise of Dog. And after this he will come here again in Goblet of fire. After Harry returns from maze and tells Dark lord is back..He Dumbledore and sirius will talk in Dumbledore's office.
@@vicentecastillo8352 Books are more significant than movies for the story. Movies are based on the books only. And in books sirius does see Hogwarts again. If something directors have not added in movies it does not mean that it never happened. It did happen but it was just not shown. So according to the original and main story Sirius did visit again.
I still remember going to see this film for the first time at the cinemas for my 9th birthday and is still my top three HP films!! This one wasn't about trying to defeat Voldermort, it was about Harry learning about his family and the fact he had a godfather!! Also loved Harry riding Buckbeak in this film!!

This was such a beautiful scene, the year I graduated from my high school, during the fall semester of college since I could see the high school from my new home, I went outside one night and took a good look at my school and felt the same as how Sirius felt about Hogwarts
Anyone else wish they zoomed in on Ron and Hermione’s facial expressions when Wormtail was begging them, to not send him to the dementors. I feel like it would have been hilarious, seeing the look of disgust on their face.
This scene was definitely done better in the book. In the book, I love how Harry actually answers Sirius and tells him he would love to live with him and then Sirius is really really happy about it

1:27 is one of my favourite moments in HP. Sirus telling Harry is his Godfather and offering Harry a home, a proper home, that must’ve been the happiest feeling he’s felt in a long time

In the book this conversation takes place while they're all walking towards the castle. In the film, they've just stopped and are all aimlessly milling about. What on earth were they meant to be waiting for?

Harry wouldn't kill Sirius Black because Sirius is Harry's godfather picked and chosen especially by Harry's late parents James and Lily Potter. Sirius promised James and Lily that if they weren't around that Sirius would always look after Harry for them. Harry Potter is Sirius Black's godson.
one thing i dont understand is why cant they just wait till sunrise to take wormtail to the dementors? i mean ik they didnt know that a full moon was gunna take place that night, but considering that an innocent man’s life is hanging in the balance, id assume that they would take all the proper precautions to insure that wormtail wouldnt escape..
Why didn't Remus start transforming as soon as he stepped outside? I mean, for "the purpose of the movie" I guess they put it off a bit until Harry and Sirius finished their moment, but that is very un-logical..... SORRY FOR BEING SO~SIRIUS~BUT I LOVE REMUS LUPIN SOO MUCH!!!!
caelan wilson I think it's suppose to be the old cliche werewolf thing where if they look into the full moon they transform, not when the full moon comes out.
