hey! welcome to my channel! of course my first video is harry and sirius because i absolutely adore them. it's such a shame that they got such little time together :(
Yeah, like... *after this, we'll be a proper family, we'll see...* that bit is so sad! I cried so much at his death... he was the B- best character e--ever... #refusingtohatesiriuseverEVEREVEREVERNEVERHATINGHIM
@@Bumbleshepherd he had hugged his future brother in law and sister in law several times. And always got maternal hugs and kisses from Molly since Chamber of secrets.
Also, a reflection of the real life relationship between Gary Oldman and Daniel Radcliffe. That wasn’t acting. It was real. Just watch lupines expression in the clear for both. You knew it was real.
Sirius is truely ICONIC..... No one could have played it better than Gary Oldman..... He had not much screen time but his every dialogue.... Every look.... Awsome..... He's my favorite character in the whole series nd I literally cried a lottt when I saw the death of this epic character..... The thought that I won't be able to see our godfather in the movies any more, hurts a lot.... It's like a personal loss in real life..... But as our PADFOOT said.... The ones we truly love never really leave us... They're always there in our heart..... And so is Sirius Black.... Always ❤❤❤❤❤
I actually don't really like how Sirius was portrayed in the movies. Or rather, I like him as a separate character and I admit his scenes are great, but it buggs me how he's nothing like book Sirius. For starters, book Sirius was 35 at this point. 35. He was sent to Azkaban being only 22, he never got the chance to grow up. He was not mature like in the movies. He was much more reckless, less stoic. He seemed to have more of an older brother/best friend/cool young uncle relationship with Harry than a fatherly one (which again, he never had the chance to mature so it's only fair). Don't get me wrong, it's nothing against Gary Oldman, but I just can't connect book Sirius with the one on the screen, he was just too old for the role (though it's the problem with all previous generation, they were all originally much younger than in the books, but because they had Alan Rickman as Snape (and ok, he was perfect for the role) they had to make everyone else older too since they were supposed to be in the same year)
@@midnightsparkle3276 I adore Movie and Book Sirius, and I couldn't agree with you more. But you already mentioned it yourself, Movie Sirius is 10-15 years older ! (They really couldn't choose a younger actor when Snapes, Lilies and James actor were already twice the age as their book characters) So he actually is like a father figure for Harry. He is much more responsible, reasonable, considered and mature than Book Sirius because he is clearly older. But Book Sirius was more *realistic* ! He had so many flaws, his anger issues, impatience, deep depression, madness and carelessness.. Also he was not just a side character like in the movie !! The third movie did him justice, he was so great ! But the fourth movie was terrible, they cut ALL his scenes from the book and added some other cringy scenes instead. Such a disappointment.
@@midnightsparkle3276 y’know, i agree. book sirius feels... different from movie sirius. and i don’t know, i will forever love book sirius with my whole heart. he was just realistic, he had flaws, he was reckless, he was less mature. but one of the things i love most about him is that he cared so much. he was always willing to go to any lengths for the people he cared the most about. besides, i feel like his death was better portrayed in the books, it was so heartbreaking, it hurt a lot, and that’s what’s good about it, it made you feel so much, at least it made me sob for an hour no exaggeration. the way harry’s feelings and thoughts are portrayed, it’s just so touching. another thing was that sirius got very little screen time, he was kind of a side character in the movies when in the books he was much more important i suppose. but i guess i get the change in his maturity and everything else, all the actors were older than their actual ages in the books because of alan rickman and i get that. still, don’t get me wrong, i do love movie sirius a lot ^__^ anyway, this was just me rambling i’m sorry haha
Times Sirius made me cry (movies and books) -blaming himself for James' and Lily's dead - all of their hugs - 'not a day goes by that I don't miss your father' - 'we'll be a proper family' -his death -his death -his death -his death -his dead
He just an amazing character who despite all that he is accused for and affected by always has his priorities straight and would do anything to save harry
This is why Harry Potter would be so hard to remake. The cast in the series was just so damned good. So many of the characters were played by people who were just perfect. Not even the main cast, like Daniel Radcliff or the inimitable Alan Rickman. Smaller parts too like Luna. You will never find a more perfect Luna than Evanna Lynch was.
This is why I prefer the books over the movies. I was PISSED when they left out a hilarious scene that left Harry and Siruis in stitches, and Dung horrified.
The death scene makes it even sadder when you see that Sirius isn’t sad, but happy that if he had to die, he died protecting Harry.. you see it in the little smile before he goes through the veil
Sirius: And when this is over, we'll finally be a proper family. Me: Harry loves Sirius Sirius loves Harry They'll be a happy family But then Sirius goes off and dies too young Don't you say someones gonna die tonight
I like to pretend it happened this way. Sirius never got killed in the order of Phoenix, and after the last events of the movie, Dumbledore let Harry live with Sirius. Then comes the blood prince blah blah, deathly hallows, blah blah. Remus, Tonks and Fred still lives, and Fred and George, builds more shops, and it's really successful. Lupin and Tonks, with Teddy is one big happy family. And Harry and Sirius lives with each other until Harry moves out, but they do hold regular dinner meetings. Happy
@@evr134 OH NO, DAMN I FORGOT DOBBY, ok I have it here, dobby didn't die, but he got hurt, he later healed and was set free never to have a master again, he would travel the world and visit harry sometimes, this time though he wouldn't take orders from anyone tho
@@user-px3cv8sp8g does Sirius address Harry as James in the books? I know the "nice one, James" part was only in the movies and Sirius didn't say it in the original scene, so I'm wondering whether he actually called Harry James in the books and if so, when🤔🤓
@@elisabethrose5821 It's not. Actually, when Molly suggest that Sirius treats them the same, he replied that he has perfectly clear who is Harry and who is James.
"You are not a bad person. You're a very good person who bad things have happened to. The world isn't split into good people and death eaters, we've all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the path we chose to act on, that's who we really are." Fellow witches and wizards, correct me if I'm wrong, but that's one line that's not in the book that I wish was in the book. I would love for past, present and future generations of young people to hear that more from adults. Sirius Black, I salute you for your wisdom.
If only James, Lily and Sirius had told Dumbledore that they switched the secret-keeper from Sirius to Peter then surely after Peter betrayed them all, baby Harry would and should have been given to Sirius to love, cherish and raise. Even if Harry and Sirius are not blood related I think Harry’s safety would still have been secure and he also apart from being loved and safe he would never have been abused, malnourished and neglected. I guess what I am trying to say is that Sirius was more of a family to Harry than the Dursley’s ever were.
It was Lily's sacrifice that kept him alive, Sirius wouldn't have been able to save him. No. 4 privet drive was protected by much deeper magic, unlike Grimmauld place which could've been broken into by death eaters some way or the other, like Yaxley finally did. If they tried entering Petunia's house, they would've suffered like Quirrel.
I think Dumbledore would still want to send him to the Dursleys because of the love protection thing, but at least Sirius would be there to make sure the Dursleys treated Harry well
Your comments are iconic😂 But on a more SIRIUS note, I'll never get over how Molly treated Sirius. Don't get me wrong, I love that woman with all my heart, but.. it's just too much.
In her defense, Harry is like family to her and she thought Sirius was out to kill Harry. After that, she was just being an overprotective mother who's father was giving him too much freedom.
I can't say the same lmao. She's overbearing as hell and decided to give the one man that has done everything in his power to be there for the boy she insists on smothering. She's an arsehole.
Well think about she considered Harry a son straight off she’d adopt him if she could no hesitation. That woman was motherhood personified. At this point there’s WAR brewing and she’s in mama bear mode
I think that jk Rowling was cruel with sirius character. He spent 12 years in the prison of Azkaban unjustly on charges of murder. Of course we all imagined that sirius was a criminal and murder in the Harry potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. But when we all knew the truth we symbathied with sirius alot. I wish that sirius was stood with harry and the order untill the last part and then killed him.but jk Rowling rushed to kill him. Finally sirius was very impressive and expressive. In my openion sirius is one of the best characters that appeared in the series. RIP sirius
The conversation in the black family tapestry. " Your not a bad person. Your a good person who's had bad things happen to you. And " when all this is over we'll be a proper family ". He's smart ,kind ,brave , loyal and a amazing friend. He didn't deserve to die so quickly. In that conversation harry looks so vulnerable poor him 🥺.
3:46 - 3:48 Listen to her, Harry! She is way smarter than everyone else in your year; you should have figured that out by now. It turned out to be exactly as she predicted. Granted, the events had to take place the way they did; if they had not, the aurors would not have found out that Voldemort had come back, but Sirius also would not have been killed.
Well yes but it also wouldn’t have happened if dumbledore gave harry his time. Harry isn’t at fault heck dumbledore even admitted that it was his own fault
*I used to think, and I still think, remus and sirius would be the best brothers ♡ Rowling did a great job, but making sirius, remus, snape and any other people who died (not bellatrix or voldemort though)* *get away from my.. GODSON!* *one of the best lines he said*
understandable.. though there is a brief moment where Harry sees his mother and father and Sirius again. it was hard to carry on after Sirius died but.. Harry. 😭💔
"It's cruel that I got to spend so much time with James and Lily and you so little. But know this, the ones that loved us never really leave us. You can always find them in here." *Pretends not to be crying.*
This 4 minutes and 10 seconds video is so beautiful. I wonder what happened after Sirius said - now let me take it from here.- Oh! If only the video had been 20 seconds longer.
1:32 if sirus wasn’t framed for a fake Peter Pettigrew death then you would of gotten to spend time with Harry your god son but no you was locked up in askadam for practically nothing... what did sirus ever do to peter anyway
Aw the hug is so cute🥰(1:53) Harry get to see his godfather from two movie but it too emotional😭(1:16)(2:16) Harry is crying right now but I feel bad for him right now🥺(2:55)
1:25 I hate how little people talk about the strong implications of remus and sirius being together as both godfathers to Harry. Sirius is literally cupping his god son's face about to tell him his eyes look like his mother's when Harry butts in and parrots what his other godfather already told him, it's giving stronnnng family vibes
Harry would rather live with a person who until 10 minutes earlier was believed to be a maniacal murderer out to get him, than go back to the Dursleys. Let that sink in for a moment.
I sincerely think Sirius didn’t need to die. Harry has already had too much to deal with throughout his life. Maybe a threatening condition with a stress to see if he’d survive or not, but not a freaking kill from Bellatrix!
“The world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters, we’ve all got light and dark in us. What matters is the part we choose to act on.” My favorite Quote from Sirius Black.
i never rlly cry over movies and tv shows but harry potter and all the deaths that happen in this franchise NEVER fail to make me cry like a gd baby. especially sirius :(
I feel bad for Sirius being in prison for 13 years while being a hero than then spend the 2 years in hiding really never getting to see his grandson than dies protecting him without being a family
