The weight difference was quite interesting. On Zfc, Viltrox was very front heavy. Only cameras that the viltrox felt balance was Z9/Z8. ZF was also too front heavy.
@@theCameraVille that's a deal breaker for me. The Z9/8 are FX bodies, this lens should be well balanced on DX. I believe those who chose aps-c bodies keep size, weight and balance in high consideration
So with DX mode, this works well I imagine- except for the reduction in megapixels in the finished images. Hope they make FF versions then, if they havent.
The Viltrox comes with a deep hood for a very good reason, that being to minimize or even eliminate glare. The Viltrox's build quality is definitely the best, competing or even surpassing that of Fuji's native lenses. The bokeh of the Viltrox is more pleasant and less distracting. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the user's intended use and budget. A professional and an amateur photographer would choose the Viltrox and the Sirui, respectively for 90% of the cases.
Yup you are totally correct~! Its a sharp lens. Actually a lot of their recent budget lens are sharper than other expensive brands like Sigma. Viltrox has come a long way.
Question; You are shooting with 2 lenses that are APS-C lenses, but you're using a Full Frame camera. Have you experience vignetting on both lenses designed for APS-C, or do these lenses work with full frame?
with all the praise of the viltrox, when it came out, i am very surprised about the sirui. very interesting lens for that size, weight and money. i am seriously considering to trade my viltrox 85 f1.8 and viltrox 56 f1.4 for the new sirui. that would sit nicely between those two i have currently and could well replace them
The weight difference is very noticable. I couldnt believe how light sirui weighed. Price difference is huge as well. The autofocus is snappy on the sirui I noticed.
Even though both lenses are 75mm it looks like the Viltrox is slightly tighter. In some examples it looks a lot tighter. I find that interesting. Are you shooting in a crop mode on a full frame camera or on an aps-c camera? It looked like a Nikon ZF in the video, but I don't know if that is the camera that you shot the example images on.
The lens were used in DX mode. Its rare to have DX lens working in FX mode without “heavy “ Vignette but when I do see it working properly, it will be reported as in my other videos.
My brother has the Viltox and my Sirui arrived today (they are very efficient shipping fwiw). We have identical camera bodies and off to visit him next month. Will enjoy the direct comparison - and well done for doing it here.
