Siskel & Ebert Classics - 11/6/92 - Aladdin, Passenger 57 

I don't care... "The Lover" is one of my favorite films.

The first review brings up a very interesting point which I feel is still relevant today. And that is the way disabled people are treated in society. How can it be that by far the largest of the so called minority groups lag so far behind in terms of gaining the protections that other groups have secured? The disabled are statistically far more likely to live in poverty, far more likely to be unemployed and can be portrayed unfairly in television and film. It's a sad statement that we seem to be able to legislate equality for whichever group is at the top of the days 'political sensitivity' scale and yet still leave other groups stuck where they have been for generations.

Andy Garcia was so over the top in those scenes in "Jennifer 8" lmaoooo
