Sissel is an angel. I remember this. She had flu when on stage. She couldn't say 1 word earlier that day... Fever 39°C and sick. She saved her voice to this moment. Neil later said in an interview that there has been only one singer that has given him goosbumps and chills when they sing this song. That person was Barbra Streisand, but after this he said "after this night, a sick Sissel is an angel and blow everyone away with her voice. BS go home.... "

Interesting. Sissel is a trooper in the entertainment business. There are other super performances she has put in when sick. (Two of them on RU-vid). She will try not to let an audience down or a venue. Not like another, globally more famous, singer who was to sing in my home town but cried off for feeling unwell but sang the next night in the town up the road. She lost me as a fan.

She is from my home town Bergen, Norway. It`s known for having famous singers, and composers. As for Sissel, she is is the best selling artist in Norway. She has sold in total 10 million records in a country of 5 million.. That`s incredible. It`s as if an artist sold 600 million in the U.S. You can see that Sedaka is totally in awe of her performance. This is live. No autotune of anything. I met her once at the local cinema. It was when she used to live her, right after she became famous.

Everytime I listen to her I feel her voice go through my soul like a pure crystal, and I feel like I'm on a mountaintop, very close to God, and absolutely filled with sheer joy. I feel like she's my sister, my friend and yet her voice is so perfect it's totally incomprehendible. A true Gift from the Father of Heavenly Lights above. Thank God for giving Sissel to the world!!!!!!

And of course no botox and plastic on a classy lady like her. And her voice is still second to none.

She sang on the overture of Titanic movie sountrack and has sung and performed with many famous singers, such as Neil Sedaka, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo. This is a still a relatively immature Sissel here (21) in voice terms, singing a song of wide vocal range. Her voice had still significant potential to be realised. Then she would go on to stun the listening world with what she could do.

At 18, it must have come as a significant boost to her confidence when a songwriter like Sedaka plays his composition for her to sing and he is giving all the signals during performance that she is delivering it and in spades.

Well, she's 21 here and some way to go before the voice will realize its prime. It's in transition. I heard she was unwell at this performance and running a high fever. If that's true then she was quite heroic here.
