Dawn - Marie, Sissel, has the Spirit within her This Lady, has shown this for a long time, You can “ feel “ it, when she sings, and her eyes, tell the story, every time ! 🙂
@@stangetty8166 I sincerely hope that someday I will get the opportunity to experience her perform live. It will be a very important bucket list check off for me. Fingers crossed. Thanks, Stan.
@@tubbs1dm Dawn Marie, if this happens, you will be truly blessed 🙏 Dawn- Marie, never give up on your Dreams, because sometimes they do come true, and behind every 🌈 there’s a silver lining! 🤞😂
Sissel's voice and her rendition of these beautiful songs are so moving, inspiring, They touch the very core of my soul! Thank you Sissel for sharing such a beautiful talent
When I listen to this selection -- the haunting, ethereal quality of her voice and singing, and the almost other-worldly beauty and expression of her face -- something rises up within my heart and spirit. It is a combination of joy-longing-aching --- that brings both a joyfulness to my heart and tears to my eyes at the same time. SURELY the Spirit of God moves through this beautiful vessel of His Beauty, Joy and Love !! Reference the 2019 performance - this was not JUST a "performance". It was a ministration by God - with His Spirit working through a yielded vessel who was pleased to allow Him to use the tremendous, other-worldly gift and talent that she was given so that God might express His Love and Peace to a hurting, broken world !! Listen to her voice - perfect in tone, pitch and cadence - drawing you into that STILL, quite place. Look at her face - the embodiment of peace, calm, love and joy. See how she uses her body-language and the gestures of her hands to calm, soothe and direct. Throughout the song, but especially at the end with her hands folded over her heart in prayer - she is transcended into the song and into the presence of God, beckoning all who are there to come join her. God is beckoning to ALL who will hear, "Come, be still before me, find the peace that you yearn for, and KNOW that I am God!!" This "Spiritual Journey" was NOT lost on the orchestra, choir or the audience in attendance. They may not have known EXACTLY what it was that they had just experienced, but they DEFINITELY knew that it was something that transcended everyday experience. They reacted by the standing ovation that they honored Sissel (and God Himself) with !!
One of the most difficult and final notes where she sings 'That He' is more perfectly hit in the Mormon Tabernacle version. The word Sissel means perfection, at least in my translation.
As a young man, I loved the Christian group, Love Song. Chuck Girard (the composer of the song in this video) was in that group. I listened to "Slow Down" many, many times back in those days. Sissel's interpretation is so beautiful, it made me weep.
É algo de surreal. Uma voz cândida que deleita e nos leva ao imaginário de um mundo onde a harmonia, a beleza e a perfeição humana vai para além de um paraíso celestial!
Where's this & which choir & orchestra? Looks American. Siss (almost 53) still giving of her best. Heard her do this lots of times yet I still crumple emotionally at "my child" in the second refrain.
Kaunista, kaunista! Niin kaunista, että ihmetyttää, että joku pystyy tähän. Ihana kuunnella tälläistä laulua, se rauhoittaa tässä kiireisessä elämässä.
