I am in Sissi now, and it still pretty much looks the same as in your video. It's a pity, it still looks poor, so I hope they will restore it with something beautiful, some flowers or trees or new terraces. By the way, the tavern Paradosiako still exists, however across the street where the terrace used to be. I ate some delicious gyros there today, however the good friend Zameer was always talking to in the other videos was not there. But even though the places are gone, Sissi is still beautiful. By the way Zameer thank you for your videos, they have been very helpful for me!
I don’t think it’s run down at all. It’s a holiday resort which is getting ready for the new season, so some people are renovating, etc. Sissi is still beautiful.
Thank you for this. Sissi is still beautiful. All that seafront area needs is some flowers and plants and benches to sit on so that we can look at the wonderful ocean view. I can’t wait to come back.
Hi Zameer, is there anyway you could give an updated tour of Sissi, especially with regard to the front where the taverna seating has been removed. Thanks
Thank you Zameer for your recent tour of Sissi. It looks beautiful, peaceful and relaxing . I’m counting down the days now 2,weeks now and I’ll be there… can’t wait 😊X
We love Sissi but I think this year will go back to Koutouloufari, we will spend a day in Sissi but not sure I would spend a whole two week there now, especially not knowing if the beach will have any sunbeds on .
Hello Zameer, we saw your video of Sissi, we were shocked as it looks now, not at all as we remember it, we haven't even thought about booking in Sissi for 2024. we're glad we didn't. We think it is very sad for the local population, this does not do tourism any good. We have now booked in Agios Nikolaos on Crete, we hope that you can make a video of that yet. Thanks again for the Video ✌️🇬🇷
Just watched your video of Sisi from 2021. It looked so beautiful with the Taverns and such.. Now nothing. I'd be pissed. I'd probably sell my house and move. Surely there was a better solution
I'm shocked by what has happened to the tavernas in the sea front square. We've spent many happy hours in Paradisiako and Agistri. Are the places opposite the harbour beach still allowed to put tables on the steps? It wasn't clear from the video because none of them seemed to be open. Will the same demolition apply to Hersonissos, Stalis etc? It seems very short-sighted to remove places without any (to me) clear idea of something good to replace them.
Well met friend are you Armenian by any chance ? Thanks for visiting my village. It is a shame tho you visited in Spring as the place is pretty much dead. Better in Summer or Autumn (since autumn is summerlike in Crete)
Hi Zameer, thank you for this Video.I'm sure, you understand ,why the fans of Sissi are worried. I'm coming since 16 years and it's like coming home.We love the people and Sissi but it would be interessting, what happens in Milatos or in Stalida...Have they the same Problems? We are shocked, but we come again this year❤thank you and all the best.Greetings from Germany
It has been the same to Gouves the last years. Started also to Elounda this year but I don't know the exact size there... It will be the same everywhere there are illegals buildings. The problem is when the government will have the new plan..
Zameer, on Crete located 3 Agios Nikolaos, 3 Agios Galini, 4 Kastelli, 7 Ksirokampos... Sissi also not exclusive name... About new building law: i think, what cleaning line 50m width from sea - good idea ( for save lives and money).
I am in sissi at the moment and yes it’s quiet but it’s still very beautiful .., the locals want you here and all the bars are open even Ormos but there is just no seating on the pavement .., I think you should have shown your walking tour in the season rather than before as it’s unfair to show it like this in my opinion
@@AR19647I really don't belong to the city council and I don't represent any government authority. I'm just quoting their words. If it were up to me Sissi would be 5 years ago as it will be 5 years from now.

@@dimitrios4080 I hope they are true to their word and get the restoration (whatever that actually means) started soon as it doesn’t look good at the moment.
Government decide this year (finally) to deal with all the illegals building all over Greece. Now it was the turn of Sisi, but except that some tables are missing Sisi is the same!!! So please people just come with open mind and try to accept and love the "new" Sisi. I am sure that all of us will do our best as always and now all of us we can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea!!!
Destroyed what were they thinking did they want to stop tourists coming spoilt such a beautiful part of Sissi well less walking this year I will stay out of town not the same anymore trying to destroy like they are destroying England I will stay up the Vasia Hotel end
@@s1958evn no one force you to go anywhere if you don't like... Stay in Vasia and Peggy Gordon's as you are writing everywhere and let us (the rest) to enjoy the beauty of Sisi and the walks around the beach with full sea view not interrupted by tables and chairs! Have a great time at my village!
