Checked the data and average age of marriage is 33.2 for men and 30.4 for women in Korea. (It's 30.5 and 28.6 in USA for comparison). Data is from 2018 so it's probably higher now as it slowly creeps up every year

i have nothing against the new breed of KPop stars but to be honest, the 1st and second generations of idols were greater in terms of talent and style of music. Their music were more diverse and cool, ranging from mellow to groovy, to techno to rock. The new gen of idols sounded all the same. Again, I have nothing against the new gen but I miss the old style of Kpop. Way to go Sistar.

10000% agreed. I feel like the focus of all the new groups are breaking into the US/globally which is great, but they think it’s just one formula/style of music that will get them there. They truly do not make groups or invest in groups like sistar, 2ne1, t-ara etc

I have to say, as much as I like the current trends in girlgroups, I sometimes really miss this "Grown ass WOman" concept that was popular for a while. Sistar made Woman songs just like 2PM made Man songs. I'm not saying the current generation is bad, but I miss this style, and I feel like there really isn't a group doing this right now. I guess the new generation is still pretty young, maybe they'll do mature concepts in a few years. (Not talking 18+ mature, just this kind of womanly song).

I agree with you. I think the best current group that has done this is Apink. They had a major overhaul in 2018 with "I'm so sick" and they're doing amazingly. They have successfully turned from a cutesy girl group to a more mature kpop figure. This not only changed their visual style and concept, but also their overall sound/music.

How I see Sistar Hyorin-Vocals Bora-Rapper Soyou-Visual Dasom-Actress LOL but they are all still beautiful and talented. One of the best girl groups in kpop. Hyorin is my bias!

This concept is very rare nowadays in kpop. They tend to keep producing cute staff, loud noises and empty meaning of their music to attract possibly fans. This song still a masterpiece without a doubt. In my perspective, Hyolyn still the most talented idol that happened in kpop.
