Story 2: Yea.... No sympathy from me for OP. The fact that his entire family sided with the ex, tells me he is a much bigger piece of trash than he is willing to admit to. He deserves to be alone and I hope that remains the case for the rest of his life. He not sorry for the way he acted, he sorry he has to face the consequences of his actions and is fishing for sympathy.
The only reason I think this is a fake story is because people like him are rarely that introspective and remorseful. Typically he would by now be on his third or fourth wife and maybe have a few kids he doesn't take care of. This is more like maybe his sister's POV of his life.
I get where you’re coming from, but I think it's important to remember that people can genuinely regret their actions even if their past behavior was awful. It’s clear OP made a lot of mistakes, but feeling remorse and seeking help can be part of a real process of change.
