The way that Kody is treating his children, besides Robyn's children, is awful. Saying that it's just a "vacation" when your daughter is having a major surgery with a painful recovery is so gross and mean.

Kody has never deserved Christine and that's probably why he subconsciously rejected her because narcissists know when someone is superior to them! Christine is strong beautiful, talented, funny and a true blue homemaker any man who nabs her next has found a true treasure!

The BIG take away from the Gender party was how much Christine was admiring Mykelti and Tony’s marriage. She said something like, “they just communicate so well, and they’re always checking in with each other.” I think seeing her children in healthy monogamous marriages is really opening her eyes. Especially Mykelti because she converted to mainstream Mormonism- Christine sees how she can keep her faith, and not be stuck in a toxic marriage.

How dare Kody call Janelle lazy! The lazy one is the house full of adults that can't seem to take care of two little kids without a nanny!

Robyn and Kodi dangle those kids over Meri's head like carrots. Its disguisting.

My big takeaway was this: Christine and Janelle say they are safe and he doesn’t believe them ever. But he’s also never around. So what’s the appeal to following these rules. They were right- no matter what they say or do it’s not enough. He’s not going to come around to check so why bother

“If she’d hurry & recover it would just make ME feel so much better about it.” Kody has zero empathy for Ysabel’s pain. It’s always all about him. No wonder Christine left him. No wonder Ysabel went to college in North Carolina.

I wanted to smack Kody & Sobbin through the screen; such liars. Going through/ caring for someone who's gone through major surgery is NOT a "vacation." Sobbin sleeps until 1 pm, is home full time with Kody & 3 grown kids but needs a nanny to handle 2 younger kids but Janelle, who's always worked, is "lazy"? I think Meri stays for the paycheck & exposure to sell LuLaRoe; her giggling makes me think even she thinks what she says ( about getting Kody's attention) is ridiculous. Christine is right on about spending time with people who love her. Janelle's sons have JOBS they need to show up for, a concept foreign to Kody.

it pissed me off to hear Kody keep saying that Christine was on a vacation. NO SHE WAS NOT ON A VACATION she was taking care of the physical and mental health of her daughter

I was just watching old clips from the first few seasons and it shook me how much happier they seemed. He actually was in love with Meri. Sobbin Robyn really did ruin this family. I believe it.

So a few things: First the part that Robyn said he can't be away from her kids for more then a few weeks made my eyes roll. I have friends who were in the military and had to be away from their kids for months and one was away for 14 months. Robyn's kids would have survived 6 weeks since it sounds like Truly hasn't seen her dad in months. Second: You can afford a nanny but you can't afford a home health nurse/aid to help take care of Ysabel. Third: This is my perspective as someone who has always struggled with their weight and Janelle has had the same struggle, the worst thing a husband can say is you are lazy. Plus he never gave anyone the rules to follow so how is anyone able to follow them. Lastly, the part that made me laugh is when the interviewer asked Kody about the nanny and he started stuttering and stumbling over his word. he knows having a nanny is bull.

The only safe way for Kody to travel between homes, would be him self-isolating and getting tested before entering a new home. The problem with that approach would be that Kody would be the only one going through all the hardship, so of course he (and Robyn) had to come up with a set of rules that made life hard for the whole family. 🙄What shocks me is how Robyn does not seem to mind the isolation she put her kids through, I completely understand Christine and Janelle making the children their greatest priority.

Just a note, standard scoliosis surgery can costs up to 200 grand. I've looked into it for myself. So if Christine's insurance has a cap on it, or pays even 75%, Christine still has a lot of co-pay. The surgery Ysabel had is a newer procedure approved by the FDA just 2 years ago. I imagine that it cost much more than the standard.

I love Janelle and Christine sticking up for themselves and their kids. Meri is looking mighty desperate for attention. Robyn is such a manipulator over everything. Robyn is the head wife. I do love how Janelle at the end of the show told Chody to F@#$% off lol.

Season 1 - We are NOT a patriarchy. These are strong women who would never just fall into line with a man. Season 16 - We are a complete patriarchy. A man is the head of this family - goddammit.

Wasn’t Janelle’s visit to Maddie’s so she could take care of their son while the baby girl was having amputation? So again, not for vacation.

I was so proud of Christine and Janelle telling Kody they have Thanksgiving plans already!!! I also do not like the way Robin speaks about the other wives kids. She was so mad that one of them called her asking to see their dad. On an earlier episode she was upset that Janelle's son didn't reach out to meet up. She's a sensitive ass!!!

John talks with his eyes 👀. Kody has developed a narcissistic personality that is going to drive his family away. Well every time Kody is at Janelles, he’s outside and that could have be only a few hours that he was there. I would love to know what show John would actually like to do a commentary on?

I wish someone would smack Kody everything he says the surgery was a vacation. He's so abusive to all of his kids and then asks why all the abuse to Tony with the cupcake. The fact that pathetic Meri has been living alone with no contact hoping for some kind of contact is sad and proves it's not about the rules.

About the wives being living their lives without his input. When Kody leaves and doesn't or hasn't been a husband for ten years. What dose he expect ? He isn't living up to his vows to the wives. .

The "Nanny " unless that nanny is living with kody and Robyn 24 hrs a day, no way in hell she is following the covid rules list, won't be surprised if this nanny turns out to be a new sisterwife for Robyn since Meri, Christine are no longer kody's wives and it looks like Janelle has one foot out the door as well, looks like kody has to start over his collection of wives 😆 🤣

This episode pissed me off when Kody said each wife gets two days except Meri. I just wish Meri wanted more for herself. Janelle and Christine both are on the right track with wanting to spend the holidays with the children. And lastly, when you’re moving shady then you easily become offended (Robyn). That comment triggered her because Meri was speaking some truth

What's up with Meri saying, "she will defend Robyn until the end". Janelle and Christine are good strong women and she wanna defend Robyn! Wtf

This episode told me a lot... When Robin said one of the kids had called her about the rules I knew then the dynamic she played in guiding Kody where she wants him to be. And so do the kids! If he had those rules on his own when he was sitting with Christine and she was asking about the kids visiting each other he would of laid them out right then . He didnt !! He had to rush off to find out what his next move was from Robin. He clearly is being with the wife who is building him up and making him think he is king. We have to remember Robin has been in a plural marriage before and she knows EXACTLY the "games" to get you the attention you want. Action proves who someone is and words just prove who they want to be, or in his case who he is led by!

This episode was really infuriating. So Kody and Robyn had these rules for months…MONTHS! and NOT ONCE thought that the other wives should have access to them until now. If she didn’t make the rules, she could ofat least past them along. My God! Then Robyn acts like she’s the victim going, “poor me! I have Kody all to myself because I’m following all his rules !” Please, for the love, can she just stop….🙄

I can't be the ONLY one who recalls that Robyn has been the neck that moves the head (Kody's) since day one. Have we so soon forgotten how she so sweetly and innocently included her future sister wives to help pick out her wedding dress as a bonding experience; only for it to be discovered it was already a done deal. Robyn and Kody had already chosen the dress. Do you not remember her innocent eyelashes batting as she asked ever so earnestly if they thought Kody would like it? What a wonderful little piece of performance art. Here is the deal, as I see it: Kody was following his faith thought the idea sounded good but alas fell in love. Now his pride (no joy) has become an albatross. He can't simply get rid of them for he has created an army in his own image, and their mothers work to put him and his best bride in a castle worth over a million dollars. They also provide them with a nanny because?????? .....well there are two young children to be cared for and with neither parent working, well she is an essential worker even during covid. How "hysterical, jealous,, and over-sensitive, Christine managed to raise 12 kids without the benefit of a nanny is astounding. Kody's disinterest in assisting his and Janelle's son as well as his not going to Ysabel's surgery, not being willing to PAY for it, and not understanding how much pain she was in, revealed what kind of father Kody is to his children. By divorcing Meri and marrying Robyn he showed what kind of father he was willing to be for Robyn's children. Ladies take your money, based on your years and years of earnings or the work provided such as cooking and caring for the kids and home; divide it up 3 ways. Give Kody and Robyn the right to a new marriage and the lean years that often come with it. Kody himself said: " one has to be a saint to live this lifestyle". Truer words were never said, and even richer coming from a sinner.

Kody says polygamy isn’t about sex. Yet he said he took Meri out of rotation. Which tells me if I’m not having sex with you then your not worth my time. This is a religious thing for them and his behavior just screams it’s not about that. If I could reach through my tv and kick someone in the taint it would be Kody. I don’t believe him or Sobbin Robyn when they say those asinine rules are not hers. And him trying to call Christine a bad mom by mentioning Truly’s illness 3 years ago and basically say she’s putting her in danger 🤬 yet he won’t participate in a major surgery of another child. He’s such a 🤬🤬🤬

Janelle may not divorce Cody but if all her children move out of Flagstaff, I’ll bet she’d move to NC to be near her grandchildren.?as for Mary? She’s already gone. She “stays” for the money. Kody and Robyn were trying to prove that she isn’t the “head wife”, but unfortunately their actions in this episode proved that she is.

Robin's kids can't be away from Cody for 2 weeks, but a kid who's getting her back reshaped can be awaited from Cody for a month???? I know it's a grim scenario but people die from surgery and infections I can't believe he wasn't by his childs side ! Robin and Cody are so short sighted and selfish!

DOES NO ONE remember a couple seasons ago when Christine said she didn't even know it was possible to talk back to Kody until she saw Robyn do it?! But now we are supposed to believe that Robyn is suddenly the only obedient wife? That was the same episode where K/R tried to spin that conversation in their talking heads that somehow Christine was undermining K and R's relationship. So many things they say don't make any sense, and for a long time I assumed it was bad reality tv editing but it is increasingly obvious like you've said that nothing makes sense because they are just lying constantly and change the lies to suit the moment. Christine was always the most honest/off the cuff in interviews and wore her heart on her sleeve and all she got in return was eyerolls and emotional abuse.

He's probably texting Robyn the whole time he's somewhere else. He keeps putting on for the cameras like the lack of protocols his wives are following is this huge barrier to seeing them when we all know he doesn't want to see them anyway.

I have thought about this a great deal... and I think what Kody meant by "its like you went on a vacation" He means, 'for the purposes of talking about exposure to Covid, it's essentially as if you went on a vacation.' Now don't get me wrong, I can't stand Kody. And I saw read as soon as he said that. But in trying to figure Kody out after 16 years, and watching it a few times, I think he was basically saying 'well, you went on a trip.' Still, he's an idiot. His older kids need him as much as his and Robyn's younger kids do. Gabe is clearly screaming for Kody's time and attention. Literally. And he gets all this rejection, related through his mom, and it's hurting him badly. Kody is such a jerk.

I felt horrible for what Christine but glad she told Kody how the hospital staff mentioned the dads are always there and when he mentioned how he hoped Ysabel could forgive him, instead of stroking his ego, Christine just says me too. I also felt bad for Meri. Like they didn't realize she was ALONE. Sobyn is a nightmare, power wielding got Kody on a leash 1st wife. Janelle's kids see it for what it is. As far as the nanny, she can agree to do everything and do what she wants at home. Kody had the nerve to bring up Truely's kidney scare, when he wasn't there until she almost DIED... Christine was alone for most of it. Such hypocrisy!

Those rules they got from recommendations from the cdc when things originally began. So I believe the wives were following most of those guidelines because we have not heard that any of them got sick so I have to believe they were careful. What has to be frustrating for the kids is the fact that they could not see each other and only K went to each house. Kids could have easily gotten together outside of each home and hung out. Kids could have masked up if they had gone inside for a bit like they were doing in school. Like everyone has said he used covid to stay away from those he did not want to be with and in the process he contributed to the downfall of this family.

Robyn made sure to come back and manipulate Meri in front the cameras so she did not look crappy for not letting Meri come over.

Great recap! I loved Christine this season and I hope Janelle follows her. So who do we think the kid that called Robyn was 🤔. Gabe maybe? He seems pretty outspoken about the covid stuff.

$25K wouldn’t begin to cover that surgery and a 5-day hospital stay. $25k (unfortunately) is reasonable for Christine’s out-of-pocket share WITH insurance. Ysbel needs Rx, follow-up visits, countless PT sessions, and all have some sort of co-pay. Not to mention travel to out of state doctor. Or maybe she found a “high deductible” plan, and with that you pay cash up to a certain amount (thousands) and the insurance will cover the rest 💯. But keep in mind that when the plan starts over every 12 months, you have to meet that deductible again. Either way, $25k is helpful, but probably doesn’t give any cushion. And, nope, I’m not in health Ins industry or med industry, but have struggled year after year to have health Ins for my family. PS: I do realize that you may not have known the exact amount of the go fund me and used $25k as an example. Whatever she collected I do believe she will need for med costs.

The nanny wipes the mail and does the extra laundry . It also allowed Robyn to work on her future job - she doesn't have a job. Janelle does. Meri does. Christine watched everyone's kids for years so the women could work- now she works. What does Robyn do???.

And because they have a full time nanny he doesn’t even have to deal with the kids he has with Robyn. And she’s LOVING the fact that she gets Kody all to herself. I've been rewatching the old seasons and on season one I thought it was interesting that Christine said...when new wives only want the husband and not the sister wife experience too... that it will destroy the family. It was like she saw into their future.

I saw Christine’s Lularoe find raising videos for Ysabells surgery costs. I specifically remember she was trying to raise $50,000 and she did meet her goal.

Even with insurance, most insurance policies now have a big deductible before the insurance kicks in, if you're buying your health insurance out of pocket. The ACA actually destroyed health insurance for people with small businesses and the self-employed.😡

I was one of the people wiping down mail and groceries at the beginning of the pandemic mid summer 2019 they released the studies on how long covid lives on surfaces. Kody is months behind the CDC recommendations. And if it was important to him he would have passed at the list at the beginning of the pandemic. Robin saying her kids could spend 2 weeks away from kody was very telling. Ysabel’s surgery would have kept him away for 6-8 weeks. She could have told kody to go which is the minimum any step parent should do let alone a sister wife when she is supposed to view Ysabel as her own child. It’s fine for her not to see her dad for months while having a life threatening surgery. Robin didn’t do anything not even offer offer her an aide. She is living in a million dollar home not working with a husband, a nanny, and adult children and not one of them went over to help Ysabel. Robin is giving off “evil step mother” vibes. And the stuff about worrying about what the other wives think is BS. She has been telling the other wives all of covid that the only reason she sees Kody is because she is following the rules. Having Meri over would be consistent. She could have said “look Meri follows the rules she gets to come over”.

The nanny in Vegas was an in-law from Robins first marriage. She stayed in Vegas.
