Welcome to my sisterlocks journey! So in this video, I am going to be discussing my one-month-old sisterlocks! I will be discussing everything from how it felt having my sisterlocks installed to the sisterlock pricing for MY hair. I also will be mentioning a new tool that I use to remove my rubberbands! It is a long video, but well worth it! I hope this helps someone!! Also, the video ends kind of abruptly (my apologies), but by then you pretty much get the point I was trying to make..lol.

You are welcome! Thanks for watching. 😊 i have had them for 6 months now, and i can honestly say that the reties have become painless. So if you can get through the initial install, it should get easier with the reties. If not, make sure you let your loctician know.

Hi Princess! I had mine installed this past Tuesday and my loctician was VERY careful. I am somewhat "tender headed". My loctician is also sensitive in her scalp so I literally did not feel ANYTHING 🙃 I was AMAZED that anything was done because???? My install was GREAT! So excited for my journey ☺ 🤗 💓

Looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 just cut my traditional locs off after 8yrs and started my new SL journey last weekend - I love mine too, even though my hair is short like 3-4inches I still love all 404 of them.

So glad I watched your video. I just purchased the elastic remover. My first wash was last week and my hair was all tangled around the rubber bands it was the worse part of my first sisterlocked shampoo experience.

My consult charged $800, I was expecting close to $1500 so I was happy. She also advised coming with my hair 'raw' and the clarifying Sauve too!!

I had to come the same way. That mess HURT like a mofo 😂 I never tried to part my hair or comb it without product so the "grid making" part was torture.

Thank you for your video, I'm 6 weeks into my journey, I live I southern Cali, my hair is 7-10 inches and I paid $900 + consul. I have really spongy kinky and then hair, the shrinkage is driving me crazy, but I'm trying very hard to be patient and appreciate the beginners stage!. Imma definitely order the tool!

I agree the no product on hair requirement was alien to me as a 4c, but mine didn't hurt because she asked me to come with it blow dried, so I blow dried it while wet after washing and then banded it in sections.

That would've helped with my pain tremendously!😂 Even her detangling it didn't help because by the time she finished one section, the other was tangled again 😖 So glad that's over.

yeh, my loctitian said to come to her dry. I has scared after installation that my twigs would snap! in the end I had to spritz mid lengths with water and jojoba oil. 3 weeks in I'm happy tho.

I don’t use the rubber bands bc I KNOW I would totally pull out the little bit of hair I have 😩. I use elastic ponytail holders instead and they work great! Your hair super cute on you 💕🙌🏾.

I went for my consult and I added some leave in condition in my hair. She did explain I was to come with no product because the loc could slip due to moisture. But my hair needs moisture or it will snap. My elasticity is crazy. She install my sample locs and so far so good. She said I can do my normal on the day of establishment.

It's good that they was established early so maybe now the two of you can come up with a good plan for the future that allows your locs to flourish.

Thank you for helping me make a decision about getting locs. Sisterlocks are so beautiful!! My hair is bun length. I'm on a financial journey to freedom and just can't commit at this time. Thank you for sharing the price and pain you experienced. I'm assuming the pain subsides at each retie....??

You are very welcome. Yes the pain i experienced actually went right away after she was done installing them. The 1st retie was barely painful at all. I only had 4 weeks of new growth at the time of this video though. I'll make another video at the 6 week mark.

I love your locs, I paid 75.00 more for less than 6 inches..your hair looks longer..my hair is tight to my head..it may be 3 inches..I'm almost 2 months in. I was established April 25th.. .

Thank you! Yea pricing is something that can vary depending on alot of factors that's why when i was researching these I didn't really have a pricing point in mind. I was just hoping they wouldn't break the bank. 😂

I’m not tender headed but that install do hurt like hell. I have 583 locs and I paid 500$ for my install (6-8inches of hair.) I truly adore my locs mine weren’t thin looking after the install it actually looked full. All I know is washing my hair is so hard since some of my locs will come off completely 😭 I’m two months in and I swear washing is so scary for me

Yea i can't seem to keep my edges in 😫 my loctician is super cool and understanding though. She told me to not worry about losing a few especially in the beginning stages.

I was quoted $900 for up to 4 inches. She will go up to $1200 for up to 5 inches in 2022.

How long was your hair when you got the sisterlocks installed. I guess pre installation? I did the big chop about two weeks ago and I hear some locticians say 2 inches and some say 5-6 inches.

They left that part out! It hurt and yes I am tender-headed. Chile....it was 2 days 23 hours!!! I started praying silently on 3/14/21. The rate was worth her time. Poor thing!

Hello I thought my consultant was charging me a lot I’m getting installed on next week paying 1100 and my hair is pretty long so I figured that’s why. I’m so excited abt getting them in.
