So lovely to hear from you Mazz 🥰 And yes, it’s a joy to hear a northern youtuber 👍🏿 I love hearing your accent on your videos, reminds me of home. I’m serious about my locs running away 🤣🤣 dry locs are no joke!! We plait, loosely and the base to allow us to get our fingers in for washing and then tuck and band the ends. It’s to minimise movement in the locs when we wash them and also to prevent the fatter ends that we sometimes get in sisterlocks - all to maintain that consistent size/look. Many with tighter hair can stop doing this earlier in the journey but hair that is prone to slipping (like mine) needs all the help it can get! Thank you for the compliments, I’m loving the ease and simplicity - it’s what I was striving for and I feel blessed. So many people comment on mine and my daughters sisterlocks when they see us (different I guess) and I always laugh to myself because I know this is the laziest I’ve ever been with my hair and yet people seem to like it 🤷🏾♀️ So glad to have discovered locs! Keep doing what your doing because it shows in the health of your Locs and how they are growing so quickly! I haven’t seen your daughters beautiful Locs in a while I’m sure they are thriving you are taking brilliant care of them. Well done! You should feel proud of yourself. Hey Charlene, Thank you for watching. I sleep on satin pillows as I found that the hair bonnets etc. were too restrictive and also bothering my hairline, particularly at the back. I got my satin pillowcases form Amazon. They work well for me. I used to braid my locs religiously before bed, in fact my locs used to be braided the majority of the time, I never really wore this set of locs out. My consultant advised to keep my locs braided as much as possible to train the locs. I’d say in the last 8 weeks or so I’ve stopped braiding so much, because I think my scalp prefers absolutely no pressure at all. No matter how lightly I plait, it seems to irritate my scalp over time (super sensitive). Take care x
