The stylist must not have been a Sisterlocks®️ Consultant or trainee, but is an experienced loctician who can tighten microlocs using an interlocking method with a different tool. They are not claiming to be Consultants or trainees offering Sisterlocks but can charge a reasonable price for retightening Sisterlocks as well as other types of locs which sounds like 30/hr plus tax. It's like buying a generic brand of shoes which is like the brand name in quality but at a cheaper price.

Edit: I went to the website and in order to offer Sisterlocks®️ installations, they would have to be Certified Consultants who charge a flat rate of $275 for 6 weeks regardless of how dense and long the client's hair which can make for long retightenings. In that case, this salon is cheating itself by not charging by the hour or the salon makes up for the lack in other ticket upgrade services. When there are more Sisterlocks Consultants in an area, a salon has to lower its prices to remain competitive.

My previous retightening wasn’t done well so she spent extra time correcting - typically it take 3-6 hours, depending on the loctician. 😅
