$500 is a rip off. My loctition charges $150 across the board unless you've passed eight weeks of maintenance! She's being doing Sisterlocs for over 20 years! She also takes about an hour to do a reti!
So pretty!!! Please could you share what products you used and how long you sat under the dryer... I've tried curling mine many times, and it keeps failing... pls help 🤎
Not to be funny but when I had Sisterlocks. I had over 550+ at your length my retightening took 2hrs only when I hit mid back did it take 3 hrs. How long has your consultant been doing hair she’s too slow. ? Either she’s inexperienced or milking thaT hourly rate. In NY you can find more reputable Sisterlocks consultants with decades of experience who don’t charge as much. Shop around
Girl your Sisterlocks end can’t get locked you need to pull it to get the curl at the end that is how sisterlocks should be like, no one real pay attention at does little things, Love the length 🩷
My locs are frizzy, too! That’s something my loctician gave me a heads up on. She told me if my loose natural hair was frizzy, then my locs would be as well. I had embraced my frizzy loose hair so I wasn’t bothered by possibly frizzy locs. It’s a nuisance when it creates a halo frizz at the top of my head tho 😅, but it helps to sleep with a satin scarf or put a little mousse on it in the morning if I forget the scarf.
This is such great viewing. I love the fact that there is very little talking (which can be so distracting). The evidence is in the video. This lady is very beautiful as is her hair. Thank you so much for sharing your hair journey with us.
YOU.ARE.SO.BEAUTIFUL. and the sisterlocs/microlocs actually ENHACE this beauty you hav been gifted with. I am humbled by this video, because it just hit me in this video, that we black women have been brainwashed to believe that our hair (whether conscious or unconscious) to not really like the hair that NATURALLY GROWS FROM OUR SCALP.
Also hair grows a ¼ to ½ an inch a month, so if a Consultant gets done in 3 hours, the client has low to medium hair density, the hair isn't too long, loc size isn't to small OR (I hate to say it) the loctician isn't tightening the locks safely to the scalp, so then the client can get done faster. But if for some reason that client CANNOT get an appointment within 7-8 weeks and they come back to that loctician it's going to be detrimental to the health and integrity of the lock.
This is the exact shape i LOVE. i think it does so much to maintain volume. Ive always been concerned about having fraying or little "bulbs" at the end of the trimmed locs. How do you avoid that? (I've only seen it on traditional and not microlocs though so maybe its different with micros)
I love my hair and my favorite style is two strand twists and i have been thinking about microlocs for awhile but my only concern is buildup/lint. I notice that when i wear two strand twists there is white stuff in the roots around the nape of my neck and nowhere else. I dont put product on my roots other than shampoo when i wash it. I dont understand why its happening. I sleep on satin pillowcases and tie my hair at night. Is it lotion? Lol did you have this problem? Its the only concern i have.
