i so miss those days when Patti used to wear/style her hair like hats. ONLY PATTI can pull something like that off. I also love(d) her background singers from the 80's. those background (female) singers back then were no joke. don't get me wrong, there are some new generation background (female) singers today that are off the hook as well. but, for some reason, the background (female) singers from my era just did something to me. I just love really good backround singers, especially women background singers.
Fanixen989 lol!!! yes, it is her hair. when i started getting into Patti LaBelle when i was younger, i didn't think that was her hair either. don't get me wrong, she would wear weaves/wigs here and there. but, for the most parts, when she used to wear "hat like" hair-do's, you can tell it's her hair. you can tell that back in the 80's to early 90's, that's one of Patti's signature styles.....was her hair. That woman was (and still is, to a point) very trendy back in those days. She knows how to wear some outfits too.

I agree. Thats what makes Patti so GREAT! There is NONE like her. & it'll probably take her death for the mainstream Media to even acknowledge her as One of Music industries GREATEST Originals. Even for those who dont Like or understand her style of performance, must say that PATTI LABELLE is most definitely an ORIGINAL! There Will never be anyone who comes close. Fantasia? Yes, but she doesnt have Patti's Vocal Range or versatility. Go FANTASIA! love her too.
I was following the arrangement just fine, and anticipated the bridge just like she did. She’s a living miracle but pretending she guessed when to sing the bridge is a bit of an over-exaggeration, the keys were minor, the bridge started, she sang. No big deal.

Sweeheart, they get addicted. My grandmother died of cancer with a cigarette in her hand. I asked why she wouldn't quit, she said she couldn't. She started smoking when she was nine. Why do people eat so much they weigh almost 1,000 pounds? They can't stop eating.

And I think what she's doing to an innocent man has cost her a lot of fans, will cost her even more if she doesn't make it right. She's abusing her fame and political connections to destroy an innocent man, just because she can. That should cost her more than it costs her victim.
You have to be kidding me. Apparently you did not get the full story. He was drunk which is why she has a suit against him. It was not her by the way it was her bodyguards. If you look at the FULL tape you will see it was the cadet not her entourage who started the situation. She got the blame because of who she is and because it was her crew but thank god for cameras which show what really transpired. She never tried to kill someone's career, however she was and is trying to protect and clear her reputation which she should do. You would do the same thing if you were innocent but being accused of something.
i'd have to disagree beyonce'- diana ross and has touches of tina with her radical dancing but she isnt as rock a tina j.hud-aretha fantasia-patti....look up uncf 2009....fantasia is patti labelle's younger version
