I am a Reverend from Lephalale. This is my first time listening to your video, I have to say this is very sad. And I think a pastors we can do more to fight injustices that are happening inside and outside the church. Last week I was preaching on Mark 13 where Jesus was talking about the end times, unfortunately I didn't touch this topic but I think this is what Christ was talking about. I agree with the first speaker who said christians are not reading the Bible. This is very true, as a pastor I encourage congregants to read the Bible because Sunday service are not enough for the to know the truth in the Bible. My church leaders never bothered to intervene after I had left! Instead, they believed all his lies about me and even welcomed his new wife whom he was cheating on me with. I thank God that I am still alive after so many attempts at my life! Indeed God's grace is sufficient for me too!
I'm happy that you walked away from that filth. I've got my own negative experiences with church. Have never set foot in a church since 2016 and never will.
@nette2144 I decided to continue to love, worship, and serve God somewhere else, and no longer with them. I will never defy God because of people and how they treat me. His Word remains true and it will never change just because we have opened the door to our churches for the devil to enter and do as he pleases. I am still God's child and he loves me, His image, more than the institution of marriage! So please my dear, return to God, not the people that broke you, because He is the sustainer of your life, He deserves to be praised no matter what happens around you ❤️ Love and respect ❤️ 💙 💜

With everything she went through, why did she stay bandla? why would she allow her kids to witness such? I'm sad but I'm angry at her shame. Why why why? She should have left. I know its not easy for victims to cut ties but still! My condolences to the family, I pray shes in a peaceful place. As shallow as this might sound I think she was never gonna leave him. In such cases, those who return will always die at the hands of their abusers. My biggest worry is the kids. Please fight for those kids because the grandmother from the fathers side is going to put them through hell.
Eish. No protection order, no case opened. That made it difficult for anyone to help. Maybe doctors reports can assist the family if they recorded internal injuries etc.😩

My aunt was married to a Lutheran pastor for 29 years! He physically and financially abused her the entire time of their marriage. He once beat her two weeks after she gave birth to their 3rd daughter. He once tried to assault her in my home, but my husband would not allow it. I will leave it here. The moment church turned into massive sports like arenas filled with fans who are worshipping their father christmas God, ready to dish out prosperity from stockings, things started going south. The church has lost its way. There are churches in every corner, but we see so much evil everywhere. Because the heart of the leadership is in the wrong place! A fish starts to rot from the head! The power of God is not manifesting because churches have walked away from their true love. These pastors and their followers read the bible like a menu! Bring back the old days when we used to go to church and come out feeling convicted and encouraged to walk in the footsteps of Christ! The bible said, their God will be their bellies. It's all about appearance and having more members than the church down the road! Today's Christians worship their pastors! Human beings are not created to be worshipped! What happened to Makgotso is very sad but not unique! I wrote a paper with colleagues about abuse in the church. Research has shown that there is so much abuse in the church. From both genders even! I am very concerned that Makgotso passed away 5 months after leaving her matrimonial home. Her family deserves justice regardless. May they be comforted and find solace in the Lord.

Very very manipulative! They always start with isolating the victim from their loved ones. I saw my aunt suffer for 29 years! She finally divorced him early this year. 29 years of emotional, physical and psychological abuse!
That mother in law is very vile! Every woman must run the opposite direction when approached by Bongani. It's disgusting that she is a woman and thinks it's okay for her son to beat her daughter in law. She thought she was supporting her son, but she actually hates him. Her grandkids don't have a mother. Her words that "bana ba ga Makgotso are not the first go swelwa" really scare me! She is vile and can do anything to them. It is quite common for churches to keep transferring pastors when there are allegations of wrong doing. There is a certain big church whose pastors have been convicted of sexual abuse against young boys. Court proceedings revealed that they were transferred to different parishes and just continued the behaviour. MAKGOTSO' STORY IS VERY VERY SAD! THE SECOND SISTER BROKE MY HEART😢😢😢😢😢😢😢.
The reason why other people are praying in their houses . Nowadays postors are just postoring with no fear of the lord and not with the lord. In this century we have lot fake postors out there. How can you stand and preach after beating your wife like this. This is not only beating its murder . how can you stand and preach after killing someone???? It's very sad to hear that the so called mother is worried about their image and supporting their son . If it was their daughter would they have worry about the image story.
Very true, there are alot of fake people at church, they would pretend to form a united front but not being genuine, I left my church 2 years ago was down to my neck deep in depression and not even one person came to my rescue not even those I thought were my friends. You will literally feel alone in a filled up church congregation, I gave up on the people but not God, God is good there's no denying that fact. Its ok to follow Him in the comfort of your home and worship Him in secret like it should be.
Unfortunately if they were married, legally the husband gad the right to bury her. And legally the husband has tje right to keep the children unless it can be proven that there's abuse in that family. In that instance social workers have to be involved sick leave or not, because she will do investigation, interview teachers, kids etc, to gather evidence.
This is heating home. I also lost my younger this year. This pastors are menupilative, 😢😮this churches are killing our families slowly specially pastor's wife.... It is hurting 😢😢
that very true u know when people come out about this type of situations that's when we realize that there's actually a lot of people who going through this type of situation, but they don't have a voice because the community is taking the side of the perpetrator.
I give up. Church hurts us real. As for me my contribution was to pretend to be a strong Christian. I didn't show a sign of hurt I was playing along with that attitude ya gore I am not here for this people but inside I was sinking. When I get home I always ask myself what's wrong with me. I think I was stupid to allow all this to happen to me or maybe God allowed me to pass through that so that I can be able to share how He rescued me from what was happening. I am done with fellowship. I will do it outside church building. Church is bad my people. I can talk until Christ comes back.

She was married into a cruel family, and a rubbish husband. My concern is that fingers are pointing everywhere - outside of her. What was her role? By this, I don't mean that she deserves to be abused. Didn't she have a choice to leave? If not, then who?, since this was her marriage?
