Just an FYI, but but I've just uploaded my full review of SISU which can be seen here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sw8-5lGZWmQ.html It was fantastic and I'm excited to share it with you. Thanks, MAB

Here's couple of "international short films". First ones are the Sisu director's early work as a filmmaker: "Rare Exports Inc. 2003 & The Official Rare Exports Inc. Safety Instructions 2005". And then one by Aki Kaurismäki: "Leningrad Cowboys - RockyVI by Aki Kaurismäki [High Quality]".

I liked Sisu movie. It is good mixture of good old 80's American action movie with strong Tarantino influence and story about war what is not so familiar to big audiences. It is not historically accurate, not realistic, but it does not matter. It is good action movie, but "Rare Exports" is even better action movie from same director.

So a strange thing has happened... This little video has seemingly gotten caught in RU-vid's mysterious algorithm and has gotten lots of views in a short time. Well, lots of view for me anyway. HAHA Very cool. Hopefully those of you who bothered to click the suggested link (or however you got here) enjoy the video and I respectfully ask that if you did, maybe give one of the others here a chance and click them as well. The channel is just getting started so the fact that it's getting eyes for one video is great, and it would be nice if that spun off into getting a few more eyes on the others. As I don't plan on posting thumbnails with my mouth hanging open pointing at the title of my video, I find little use for most RU-vid suggestions for how to gain followers. HAHA! In edition to reviews of contemporary movies/tv shows and news about them I also have a playlist which will focus on what I'm calling Forgotten Gems, which are movies I love but may be less familiar to the general public. In that vein, I'm planning a whole series on My Favorite Sports Movies which should be fun. I also have a playlist which focuses on more social and political type commentary on entertainment which I hope is interesting to people even if they find they disagree with my takes. Anyway, very cool that this has gotten a bit of traction and wanted to grab your attention a bit and say, "Thanks for stopping by," and kindly ask that if you enjoyed it please look around. And if you're interesting in seeing more in the coming months/years consider subscribing, as the plan is to have at least one new video a week. Also, feel free to suggest a topic or three. I can't promise it'll interest me enough to take it on, but it may be something I do find compelling but hadn't considered. Thanks! Hope to see you around.

An interesting video, an interesting movie...maybe...But no less interesting question: When did the Finns have time to fight as shown in the video with Nazi Germany if they fought for them for 5 years from 1941 to 1945 and only from April to March 1945 (1 month) were in a "state of war" with Germany?!🤔🤨
@tomigutzen
@tomigutzen Год назад
As per treaty with USSR, Lapland war started 15.September 1944 by the Finnish attack on german troops and last of the German troops crossed the norwegian border 25.April in 1945. Much could happen in 7 months period :D
@РагдайУдалой
@РагдайУдалой Год назад
@@tomigutzen Where did you get 7 months from?! Is this according to the "secret documents" available only to you?! Then answer the question: when was the siege of Leningrad lifted, what was the name of the operation to break the blockade... and what does the Finns have to do with it? And just read Wikipedia...Everything is there...with dates! 😏
@tomigutzen
@tomigutzen Год назад
@@РагдайУдалой Wow, I don't now what Wikipedia do you have on the eastern front, but the Moscow Armistice (which was signed 19.September 1944) between Finland on the other side and USSR and UK on the other, stated that Finland has to cut diplomatic ties to Germany and expel or disarm German troops after 15.September 1944. The fighting between German and Finnish troops started on 15.September 1944 and ended 27.April 1945 when last of the German troops withdraw to the Norway. And that's 7 months time. And it doesn't have anything to do with your massacre in Leningrad, which ended in January 1944?

@@tomigutzen don't get too exited, it's just russian troll's activating again. I myself quite enjoy listening their lunatic ramblings about how they think the big war went. No doubt, next he'll say that russians won the whole war without any help from anywhere and without them we'd all be speaking germany. Can't wait 🤗😈

The Finns were slightly busy teaching the Russians that Sisu is a real thing. The dangerous next door neighbor was sending in soldiers by thousands, the Finnish wacked & stacked them like cord wood. The frozen Orc corpses actually made pretty good cover...can't wait to see my homeland represent in this don't eff with a Finn movie.
