Hi, I am currently limited in what I can do because of heel pain (plantar f) and also some minor shoulder issue that causes pain in the front elbow on outer side. Will I still be able to work with these plans?
thats great! how's it going, both this exercise and your martial arts training? what are you training in? 3rd black belt here in the ralph castro line of kenpo karate. cheers!
This is brilliant - whenever I always tell someone to stop doing crunches, I suggest the hollow body as an alternative. Now I can use this as proof that I know what I’m talking about + backed up by experts ! 🔥🔥
JG Calisthenics the thing is that some people cant do this exercise in right form. I guess its called hollow back some people like me have this issue since they live and its impossible for me to lay on the back with the lower back on the ground
"Experts" (i roll my eyes) showing how to do an improper situp and then tell you that that way is bad. Of course it's bad for you...your doing it wrong.
Great exercise! Definitely much better than doing sit ups. Hollow body in combination with plank and different abs exercises on the bar make perfect choice.
I’ve practised martial arts for 16 years and sit ups are a staple in our training. Of course we do variations but you can’t say they don’t work, they do work. These moves look incredible and this guy looks like he’s got some serious core strength. I’m going to give them a go as they would definitely be challenging. You need to have an open mind about new things, even if it does look unconventional. Respect to the almost naked blue pants guy 👊🏻
They are fun to do. ESPECIALLY when you're entertaining little nephews and nieces. Mine have a good sense of humor. I kall them exercises "the Armadillo has fallen and kan't get up ".😀
This is awesome. High quality and perfect mix between video and talk. Very good explainings, it is easy to understand according to me. I would say this about all of your videos that I have seen.
daaaaaaamn dude this is awesome! I have been making things up like this just moving and stretching my body around. I love this one. Going to start on it tonight.
Excellent! I do it your way. Hollow body, crunch-ups, and V-ups. I also do vertical leg lifts while supporting myself in the air on the edge of a bench with my arms - straight up and lateral left and right.
Wow - great movement-and progressions ( especially the roll and rock. See what I did there. 🤓) Thank you. I appreciate your work. I also like the techno look and feel of the videos.
This is certainly the best ab workout video on RU-vid. I laughed so much just watching it and reading the comments, my abs got a preworkout for when I try these difficult moves on my own. Very impressive, this guy.
This is wonderful. I've been doing other exercises which although working the abs made me uneasy as they put some strain on the back. But these make sense, thanks so much..👍
Been looking for good abs exercises that are good for my lower back pain - did a hollow body hold for 20 seconds and it felt great! Going to incorporate them with Russian twists to really hit my core hard!
You don’t have to really worry about getting this right, you can learn fast here. Beats the heck out of trying multiple ab exercises and not landing the technique for each one.
Muy buen ejercicio. Detesto hacer sit-ups porque me hacen doler el centro del abdomen y me dan náuseas. Reemplacé mis sit-ups por 30s de este ejercicio y la verdad es que es mucho más cómodo de hacer y también más exigente
Lunges, walking forward and backwards. Another is the compass lunges, look it up or search for Paul Chek. And of course jumping! Only imagination sets the limit for what you can do. So be creative and make some gains 😄
Normally i'm not doing sit ups. For me, the best exercises for Abs: Leg raises, hollow body hold, knee raises, mountain climbers, hanking wipers. All this are better than sit ups and more effective because works the core too.
I've been doing situps holdingva 30 pound dumbell at my chest. Four reps of twelve then two days later doing four reps of twelve with a one two punch holding a ten pound dumbbell. I've had a great deal of success with my routine.
awesome. I do yoga, and I was experimenting with for a while before bumping into this video cause as I was observing myself I realized how it did work out more of the ABS so it's awesome to see that I'm not the only one that other people know about this so thank you for sharing
Some teachers will act like they know everything and get mad at you for looking into something else that they didn't recommend. Do what you want even if the teacher doesn't like it (as long as it's safe and beneficial)
@@aapics5079 yea my old PE teacher made my friend do a shoulder exercise he clearly wasn't ready for and, long story short, he wasn't able to use it the same for a month or two. Then she'd act like it was his fault that she's a fuckwit
Yup, situps are garbage. I only do 1 set of 80 every six months....thanks Army. Update for the Army: We are changing the format from situp to something similar to a tucked front lever, but stops when your knees touch your elbows. There will be many sore serratus anteriors (rib meat).
