Considering he's survived that many encounters with Sith lords and still lives to tell the tale with no lasting injuries, I'd say his point still stands.
I dont think so, it's pretty hilarious that he said that just before he was beaten up by Dooku and only made it out alive because Anakin fought for him and won, but Obi was on the floor unconscious, if it wasn't for Anakin, Dooku could have just cut his head off any moment, but that wasn't the plan, in fact he lost so many battles, he only survived because "Plot armor", think about it, Dooku always beat him and could have killed him, he lost, he was losing against Anakin and was only able to hold him up enough time, Anakin lost that fight in Mustafar 'cause he was a stupid and arrogant kid who tried to beat him like Obi did with Maul, which by the way, whooped his ass too, only won because Maul was being arrogant as well, instead of finishing him off, he was enjoying torturing him, he lost one fight with Vader and ran away, and lost again and then got angry, went back to fight Vader, got some good hits on him and made him angry and then he just ran away like he owned him, but he didn't, he just went away.... We don't really know how that fight would had ended up like, then he faces Vader and instead of losing, he just disappears, it's like... What? He was beaten up real bad tons of times and only survived 'cause the story needed to be that way, but talking about being superior, well... He was inferior and technically lost a lot of fights

This is one of those lines (there's a lot of this in the prequels) that's really subtle but it perfectly shows how truly blinded by arrogance the Jedi had become by this point. They were so surrounded by darkness that they could no longer recognize it.

@@blank003 Calm Jedi Anakin has power but not the focus needed to breach obi-wan defence, which basically noone has. Maybe with more years of training without turning to dark side, he would have.
@@GMPranav even with turning to the dark side, i think he could have beaten obi wan in like 6 years after he got the full darth vader mind. Ofcourse, padme still has to die for him to go to full dark side or he would still have some hope.
@@ojogbaneamedu2501 That's not really a accomplishment considering that the Jedi Order had no idea that the Sith survived. The Sith probably killed plenty of Jedi during these one thousand years, but none survived long enough to alert the Order.
@@ojogbaneamedu2501 That's true. Though it can be argued that Sidious , who never intended to let any of his apprentices become a threat, didn't train Maul to become a true Sith Lord.
Plus, Obi-Wan and Anakin are the only two Jedi to have ever killed any Sith Lords in the Rule of Two Era. Obi-Wan killed Maul, Anakin killed Dooku, Sidious, and Vader.
