Fresh off the boat from Japan after being parked with possibly a dead engine since 1986, complete with 10A and uncut dash with original radio.
With only 11,000 kms on the clock, it's a real shame it wasn't stored with care.
Some parts of the car are in surprisingly good condition, some not so good..
Would you save it, or is it too far gone?

That's proper Wasabe Car! Don't touch it! Patina original Half Life I absolutely love it! Cars in this condition and that complete... I could admire for hours... All those smells and textures.... Something a restored car will never have!

I love how the bonnet has as much structural integrity as a slice of plastic cheese! It's a shame to see this car in the state it is in, but it will provide parts for other projects! Cheers for sharing...

Saveable 100% There is a video on RU-vid of a guy who rescued an R100 way worse than this (search 10a turbo R100) It just depends on if you want to spend the money. Edit, Mazda Media video 10a turbo derrrr!!!! hahaha!

Considering,the year of the car, it pretty much looks ok, but with a new respray, and some interior detailing that car will start to shine again, I just don*t like seeing cars, with surface rust or what some people would call patina, work some magic.

Of course save it. Import it to South Africa and put it through roadworthy test (with a bit of connections and some bribery). Just need new battery and (stolen) registration plates. Dash board looks remarkably good for amount of sun exposure. Back in the days this was Mazda's remarkable revival of the '68 NSU. Its competition was the marvellous Datsun 1600SSS, awesome Alfas and Ford Escorts, DKW'S, aagh those were the goodolldays.

Looks like it has been in a fire, when half car is totally rust brown. But totally savable, Mustangs are usually in way worse condition than that!
