Wow. This is beyond sad that people allow this to happen. This animal is in agony. I hate to say it but putting it to sleep may be kinder.

Poor elephant is in horrible condition. It’s painful to watch this poor animal suffer. Obviously not owned by a kind person.

How much would it cost to buy her freedom? Problem is, the same people who did this to Mae Mai would only get another elephant to abuse. The cruelty to animals has to be made illegal and it has to be enforced strictly.

I think they view them as a means for making money. It’s not a pet to them but rather a possession like a car. It’s heartbreaking to see this animal suffering. The owner should be ashamed.

Perhaps the owner is paying some amount of money for her treatment in which case she would have to be returned to her. I would still fight to relocate her to any bit better situation before ever returning her to that horrid creature.

I doubt the owner is paying any money for her treatments as he cannot even afford to feed her. Under the owner's care the elephant was skin and bones.

Under the original owners "care" this poor abused elephant will probably die prematurely and in a lot of pain. There need to be serious LAWS against CRUELTY TO ANIMALS and they must be strictly reinforced. Just because someone cannot afford to take care of an animal, doesn't mean it's ok to abuse it or ignore it's needs. Find a better way to live...a way without cruelty to animals. Your survival does not depend on how cruel you are to animals.

I watched a vidio on here where the elephant had to have lower part of her leg off but they built a cast.that fitted her leg it was so strong the elephant was happy maybe you can hv77v¹1w

I know what you mean but I think they were trying to encourage her as much as possible to get to the elephant park where they had everything to help her and get pain free. This journey would take all her energy reserve and once she stops for a length of time she would stiffen up and it would be twice as bad.

This animal was abused. It doesn’t look like a one time injury. Look at its face. Something is very wrong here.

Masks are pathetic in this scenario - at the forefront are elephants, their welfare and the absolutely incredibly caring and compassionate work that this lady, her staff and her volunteers do, to protect these magnificent elephants who should be revered and not treated like captive slaves which is cruelty beyond imagining.
