Order at: www.indiemerch.com/metalblader... Six Feet Under's video "Seed Of Filth" from their album "Death Rituals". iTunes: itunes.apple.com/us/album/deat...
Honestly I only recently started checking this group out and so far I really like them. Feels like everyone hates them now all because of their last album and some of Barnes's antics lately. But they did some awesome stuff in the 90s and some of their 2000s output is really solid too imo.
My son when he was a baby he would always tell me put the song where the werewolf is singing dad lol when I explained that the track lycanthropy was about a werewolf transforming his little mind was like( it sounds like a werewolf so its a werewolf singing) he thought Chris Barnes was a werewolf and speaking of Chris met the man in person when I had just graduated I was 18 shared a joint with him real cool guy
@@user-hs4fj3eo7s let us enjoy this classic, I know Chris Barnes is full of marijuana but... how are you going to say that Cannibal Corpse and those bands aren't great?
Six Feet Under is Barnes' playground. It's his band so he ultimately has total artistic control of how it sounds. He wanted to take Cannibal Corpse this kinda direction, they said no, he left/got fired, they're hired Corpsegrinder whom they felt best described the direction they wanted. Now both bands are separate and will never have anything to do with each other ever again. Please people, stop arguing over who is better. Both represent something different in Death Metal.
If you grew up in the 80s and 90s you know that CC was better with Barnes and that Six Feet Under is light years better. There isn't even a debate to be had about it.
this comment definitely does not hold up. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, but corpsegrinder was the best choice cannibal corpse made. Barnes literally sounds like a toilet after I flush a fat shit
you correctly right, i like this voice More than George fisher, but second, George do own style, Chris is better in six feet under, very great this album, maybe masterpiece!
***** I dont want to start a fight but have you listened to the track they just released, Invader? There is no universe where he sounds good in that song
***** So i'm a spoiled brat for thinking it's time for some greasy caveman to retire and spare all of our ears? You would think old school deathmetal fans would a thicker skin than a 13 year old girl
This song popped into my head today, I played it 3 times on my tv and now I'm listening to it as I go to sleep. And I will fall asleep to every metal song that follows this one.
@@ritualdeathmetal The vocals fit the music very well for me. I actually like these vocals, and yes, I'm fully aware of how his vocals have degraded. But with this particular genre and type of music, it's not really a bad thing for me at all.
@@solidariusgaming2854 ok let's just be real for a moment here. Chris' vocals have gotten considerably worse through the years and reached the peak of awfulness, cringeness and fuck-my-lifeness on Torture. On Nightmares he sounds even worse. This can't be the best that a pro Death Metal vocalist can do. Especially one that has been doing it for 30+ fucking years. Take the song The Noose as an example. This might be the worst Death Metal vocal recording ever put to tape. Also, The Separation of Flesh From Bone from Torture has one of the worst intros to a Death Metal song I've ever heard, and it's all beacuse of the fucking vocals. Don't get me wrong, I love and respect Chris to death but the vocals that he has been delivering for the last 10 years are downright awful. On some of the records from the last decade he doesn't sound nearly as atrocious as he unfortunately does live. Also, I personally love a lot of SFU's material from Haunted all the way to Unborn (haven't heard Crypt Of the Devil, Torture and Nightmares just have some cool riffs here and there) but I can't hide behind my finger and pretend that Chris' vocals are good (or even tolerable to this point). He has sounded good on some newer SFU albums but the last 2 were just the Cream of the Shitty Vocals Crop.
Corpsegrinder has been performing extreme vocals for 20 years and he has not lost his power! Another thing is that Barnes records his vocals at the Criteria Hit Factory studio, so apart from the other members, and probably without any producer to tell him when something can be done better.
Barnes has a great growl and a sick scream its great to see his growls are still getting more brutal in every SFU release and hes mixing in his screams
Taught my daughter to stomp mosh to this song. At her bus stop I'll say Seed Of Filth and she will start stomping around. I got the most bad ass kid at the bus stop \m/
Underrated guitar player. I often wonder what happened to him as Chris never really talks about him leaving. Unfortunately right around the same time his house was robbed and a bunch of his gear was stolen...I hope those responsible meet a fate to similar to a character in Chris' lyrics...
Saludos desde Argentina 🤘 . Siempre digo que siempre se escucha una banda muy buena. Tengo 46 años de Metalero y es la primera vez que escucho ésta Banda 🤘🤘👍
