Fun fact! The reason the trains at Whistlestop Park look like Thomas trains is because Six Flags once held the licensing to incorporate them into the park. That is since gone though, but the ghosts remain lol
I been going to Magic Mountain since the 80s. The Golden Bear Theater used to hold many shows a day and concerts as well. There used to be a monorail the looped around the park, the tunnel on Full Throttle used to be a station for the monorail. Pistachio Park is built in a footprint of a flat ride called Swiss Twist.
There were so many concerts that played there in the 80s. It won’t be the same without it. I also remember the Swiss Twist. I think I was 7 or 8 the first time I rode it and for me it was super fast and a little scary for 7 or 8 year old me. But I wanted to ride it again. If had a horn and flashing lights. I believe it was what you call a Bayern Kurve designed by Anton Swartzkof. Anyway I wish they hadn’t removed this ride. It had lots of memories for me and it was one of the first ride you got on when visiting the park. If they were going to put a park there I wish they made it more inviting. Maybe benches or something
I wish Magic Mountain had a full-fledged cross park transportation train...that place needs one, its HUGE!! As far as Pastachio Park goes, were you around when there was a family flat ride located there called Swiss Twist...later renamed Sierra Twist? It was a bobsled type ride(I forgot what manufacturer made it).
They used to have to two trains, the 99 Steam Train which was powered by steam, and the Grand Excursion Railroad (diesel-powered) in back. It was a great to be an engineer on the steam locomotive.
Watching your amazing post and you are looking good so far and you are doing awesome with the facts and the whole thing giving a tourists guide through the whole thing for the crowd and audience
It's very interesting that they are working on the jet stream area. I was calculating that the only possible way for them to build a giga is to have the base of the drop in the jet stream/ninja area. I still don't think it will be a giga, but...
@@Johnnyiswhere That's what I think as well, It would make sense if they expanded the kids area, as well as adding a new launched family coaster, similar to big bear mountain at Dollywood.
