I Iove everything about this video! I too love reading poetry, although I read it for the emotional connections I can make with the author. Some of my favorite poets right now are Ada Limón and Danez Smith.

Due to quarantine Sir Patrick Stewart has been reading #ASonnetADay out loud on social media to keep the doctor away as well as Covid-19... I don't know if you already knew this, but check it out if you are curious, it is also interesting to hear Patrick's opinions on some of Shakespeare's sonnets, he doesn't agree with all of them.

Poetry refines the inscrutable, renders the insatiable. Favourite poem: Riddle of the World by A.Pope Question: Would the opening to 'Under Milkwood' by Dylan Thomas qualify as a poem even though it's a play? (i think it's one of the most beautiful things to listen to in English, atleast to my ears)

Thank you, I really enjoyed this one. We can appreciate a poem or a poet not only for their wisdom but because they are complicated and their emotions and psychology and spirituality are complicated and yes, their wisdom might be complicated too. Our emotions, psychology, spirituality and wisdom are too, often complicated. Personally I love the poetry of Dylan Thomas. I feel an emotional connection to it. I live in South Africa, during the years of Apartheid a South African Poet named "Mongane Wally Serote" wrote a poem, short, simple, stark, harrowing, defiant, ultimatly hopeful. It is called "A Dry White Season". It is well worth searching and reading.

I love poetry and classic literature. Sadly nobody in my circle of friends can even stomach 5 minutes of conversation about what I've been reading. It is a lonely hobby for me.
