Awesome, I was looking around for a type of self-defense at my old age of 57 y/o. Tumble around & found Paul Vunak a true badass.

The redondo (windmill) strike was the first strike I learned until I did it in my sleep! It's an awesome strike for entering retreating or countering and it's soooo much fun to do! Love the Filipino arts! These guys were GENUISES!

Paul Vunak is truly carrying on Bruce Lee's legacy.

My intro to Vunak was through his stick work for sure. he's right about these techniques, my instructors in pikiti tirsha drilled these over and over

What most people need is a few simple strikes, mostly top and side, they can use without going to the dojo every day. And some sense of target areas.

9 years ago and it's 20 years ago for me. Do you find yourself doing other things like music.?.. if you're still paying attention to this channel. I was taught that Redondo went against a horizontal opponent stick and it was a downward hit that ricocheted into an upward hit. Am I mixing that up with something else?

People in California should be aware that even owning a club or club-like weapon for self defense is not legal. Crazy but true.

What a wonderful state. Concerned about a criminal attacker’s well- being. What how many years in prison a woman would get if she used a stick to defend herself from a rapist?
@didymostruespeal
@didymostruespeal 3 года назад
Yes...but you can have an extremely long screwdriver. As long as you can prove there's something you need it for. You can have a hammer. You can have a stick you used to keep your trunk hood open because the hydraulics went out. You can have a flashlight but they're kind of heavy. Yes you can even have a stun gun flashlight. That you can use these techniques with because you can use these techniques with a pocket knife. Learn the law and you'll see obvious loopholes that were left in it

@@didymostruespeal Good for people strong enough, young enough, trained enough to actually be successful with tools. I know guys who’d get smacked up side the head and just get riled up more. At my age, best I’m good at is a quick draw and pullin the trigger.

There useless if you suck at doing them no move will always work and you do know these moves are usualy used in combinations in real life and most people do not now how to defend against them because most people know verry little about fighting period.

You are overreacting on movements. You can't fight like that. Relax and face your opponent. No wonder one of them hit you in the back.
