So nice to see a video from you again! These look like very nice colors...almost as good as Schmincke. ;) I'm curious how you like the Schmincke Super Granulating colors?
I've been watching your videos for years and have learned alot. Could you consider reviewing Derwent Graphitint Pencils? I am fascinated by their unusual texture.
Ooo that terre verte is really pretty!! I actually have rare green earth from DS and I really loved it. I love M Grahams Cadmium colors- Along with Qor- Qor has beautiful Cad colors. Happy Holidays, thanks for sharing❤
Merry XMAS 2 U 2 Marty, lovely have you seen the new limited Schminke Granulation Colors in theemed Sets like Galaxy, Glacier, Forrest, Deepsea and Thundra. Gonna see if I can get a hold of em from Santa.
Like you and your buddy Steve, I too like M. Graham watercolors. And someone else recently featured that German Greenish Raw Umber (or whatever it is). I like the look of it -- perhaps good when painting old buildings. Merry Christmas to you Marty and wishing everyone a safe holiday and New Year.
Merry Christmas!! Happy Holidays!! I'm not really sure if I even have a tube of green? 😳😳 I painted a massive mural years ago and ended up using 100% acrylic exterior house paint. I had several gallons of white, a gallon of black, a couple gallons of blue, a gallon of yellow and a gallon of red. I ended up mixing all my colors... it was quite the exciting learning experience!! Take care!!
PS, Schmincke has a Greenish Umber too. The Azo Green, can look much lighter with more added water to a very transparent cool yellow. The value range on this pigment is amazing. Copper azomethine green (PY129), commonly the ingredient in "green gold" paints. M Graham's is the most saturated of any other brand. But will tint out to a very light greenish yellow like the other brands. It looks dark here because its so highly pigmented.
Thanks for the video. I have really enjoyed the few M Graham paints I have and , of course, Daniel Smith has many awesome colors. I think it is odd that they used Viridian green (PG18) instead of the traditional Terre Verte (PG23) though.
What's the difference between cerulean blue and cerulean blue chromium? I have cerulean blue chromium and it is very light. Is your Phthalo Blue Green Shade or Red Shade? I have a pan of each; but, for mixing greens, I like the Green Shade. The colors all look earthy. They would probably make pretty landscapes.
Merry Christmas Marty! And now I'm going to HAVE to get 3 of these colors lol! I'm definitely a color-a-holic... I have almost 60 colors and I actually use every single one of them... at least I only buy colors I know I'll use 😌
I am so behind with your videos my husband working at home now makes more work for me.. LOL Thank you so much for this.. Hope you had a wonderful holiday season!!
Interesting choices, I was hoping you would do a little painting too. These colors could work well on a scene from you last trip. Merry Christmas to you and your family. It’s finally going to be cold tonight here in Texas. Up to this point our morning glories have still been blooming but that should end tonight.
Ooh a fun range you picked out. For color wheels too, may I suggest the Color Globe by Colomondo? It has both CMY and YRB. It’s helped me out so much. I just recently finished my M Graham collection I’d been working on for a few years now. It’s a really nice paint.
Merry Christmas Marty! Fun to see you playing with new paints. Thanks for all you do for us, always enjoy spending time with you. See you in the new year!
