I'm almost brought to tears when I saw this video as today my child has had one these kind of days - stress,overwhelmed,frustration,lots of instant crying at just about anything that didn't work out for him.Things like when he was trying to choose to book to read and if he couldn't choose one then he cried or he just simply dropped a toy of his and it was immediate outburst of crying and self put-downs.Normally he does have an anxious personality (has done since he was a toddler he's 8 now) but usually he wouldn't show it in this way.Well,hes in bed now (phew!) but before bed he just sat in my arms and cuddled me for about 10 silent minutes and he told me how much he hates going back to school after his 2 week long holiday.I'm on my own with him and to spend a whole day with the outbursts he had was more than exhausting but now after seeing your video, I can't begin to tell you just how amazing it is for me to feel validation from your video as well.So, I can imagine just how much he needs validation to about his worries.Thanks so much for sharing these loving videos.Us parents need it so much.
My 10 year old daughter is worried every night about being sick! She has a phobia of physically being sick. We do the breathing to calm her down & use lavender oil! I am losing my patience now as it can take her 2 hours to get to sleep, the more tired she is the worse she gets! I've tried the calm approach & the cross approach but nothing seems to work! I don't know how to deal with it, do you think this approach will work?
