Put a good roll bar on it. Believe me you can flip it over backwards so fast and cripple urself. Mine pinned me to the ground in Alaska on my trail into the bush hauling supplies. Dam near killedme!!! Avoid steep climbs like out of a creek.
@@dandahermitseals5582 how do they handle steep gravel logging roads? How about rolling over logs? I may be getting one soon but I dont want to ruin it.
So what's the verdict? how's that machine working for ya? I just started working on mine after 30 years of sitting. I took it apart many years ago ,put it on the shelf... And always said that would be my retirement project
I went to buy a car once and the guy had one of these in his barn... big 6 seater or 4 seater don't remember. but had a big roll cage, sound system, new tires, all kinds of shit. He said it hadn't ran in years but ran perfect before they stored it.. I bought it for 500 bucks. I made money on it but man I shoulda just kept it at that price. I barely put ANYTHING into it to get it running. Had so much fun in it.
I had a Max II in Alaska. Really nose light. They will flip over backwards really easy and quick. Without a good roll bar ( not the cheesy ornamental one Max sells) they are leathal. I figured u were gonna roll it climbing that creek bank.
I noticed in your video that your tires are facing the wrong direction. If you put the chevrons facing towards the rear it will go so much better thru the water you won't believe how much this makes a difference! Look at how all stock models on Argo or max company videos have their tires facing and you will get better traction in the mud too. You wont have problems getting ip that little grade crawling out of the creek.
My Hustler Sidewinder has a slightly longer wheel base and super roll cage. Not nose light like the Max. Max is built better axle wise. I upgraded to heavier axles and Argo rims with tracks. Lives snow.
Love the comments of you really sharp guys that say the tire tread is mounted backwards... When they're filming him putting the plugs in, it's the BACK of the machine. Chevron treads always point forward....... That would be toward the front of the machine for those intellectually challenged individuals that didn't notice the rear tow bracket
