Actually for Jews our holidays begin in the evening around sundown, so in the US it’s not Chanukah yet, it started already in Israel. So tonight is the first night of Chanukah and tomorrow Monday is the first day of Chanukah.

In Israel the last letter is replaced with a letter that represents the word "here"). In the game of the dreidel, each letter stands for the game rule: Noon - you get Nothing Gimmel - Get everything Hei - you get Half Shin - add money in (share) 3:25 - The Greeks forbidden all kinds of religious practice. They acknowledged the wisdom of the Torah, but not that it's divine and was given by God. 5:25 - Sufganiyot - pronounced Soof-Ga-Ni-Yot. There are some hilarious Hanukkah songs, the version of Bohemian Chanukah is one of the coolest. Fun fact: Adam Sandler had a series of 4 songs called "The Chanukah Song", in which he in which he deals with Jewish children feeling alienated during the Christmas season, and then lists a number of Jewish celebrities (with both real-life and fictional connections to Judaism, a differen list in every song) who "also celebrate Chanukah" as a way of sympathizing with their situation.

Ginnel is a hebrew letter. It is one of the sides of the dreidel. ON a Gimmel you would get the whole pay. Hay you would get half the pot. Nun you would get nothing. And shin (and pey in Israel) means you put money in the pot. The 4 letters stand for a phrase A Big miracle happened there (in Israel A Big Miracle happened here)

You've entered the great debate about the tzitzis. A lot of men keep it totally tucked in. Really depends on your community and your customs. The commandment itself is to put tzitzis on any 4 cornered garment. The reason people wear the strings out is to show that they're proud to be a Jew. Many years ago, in places where it was dangerous to be seen as a Jew, tzitzis were tucked under the shirt. That passed down to their descendants even though they were able to live like a Jew.
