Zenitsu wasn’t conscious he was fully asleep, he’s just got sharp hearing, so he can literally hear what’s happening while he’s asleep

You know what makes Tanjiro's line about "Did lightning just strike?" even more insane? Those visuals you see with the breathing techniques like Tanjiro's water and Zenitsu's lightning aren't actually real, it's just a visual effect for the audience. So Zenitsu's abilities didn't USE lightning, he literally just moved so fast and struck so hard that Tanjiro actually mistook it for nearby lightning. Not faraway lightning, not electricity, but the actual booming sound of thunder. On top of that, while the lightning may not be real, Zenitsu's Thunderclap and Flash still managed to break the ground under his feet ON ACTIVATION and send large chunks of rock flying upward. And the spider demon even mentioned "The air is vibrating" meaning that through his breathing technique, he literally caused the environment around him to shake and break apart. Badass doesn't even begin to describe it.

It’s also good to remember Zenitsu fucked that dude up while he was bleeding internally and spitting blood, poisoned, and experiencing intense pain in his limbs. He may only have learned 1 of the 6 forms, but no one can use that technique better than he does. “If you only learn one thing, hone it to perfection.” He was putting out so much energy and power he broke the ground and the air was vibrating, dude deadass vanished. He’s a BEAST.

I don’t get the hate of Zenitsu. I mean he’s loud and a coward at times, but that’s his character. He actually has something to work for in that sense,. Learning to be brave.

Fun fact: The stance that Zenitsu takes before he attacks is from a martial art called Laido. Laido is the art of drawing your sword and striking so swiftly that not a single drop of blood remains on the blade and then sheathing it.

first form: Thunderclap and Flash allows the user to take 1 "step" in one direction at the speed thunder and strike. What makes Zenitsu special is that since he couldn't master other forms he poured all his efforts in his first form, and perfected it. In this episode, he shows he is able to take 6 steps in one go in this form, allowing him to change direction. It's basically as if he repeated first form 6 times in that single attack.

I think why zenitsu is so loud maybe due to what I call the earphone effect where if you blast loud music thru your earphones you'll naturally speak loud during that time if you're asked to talk and zenitsu has super hearing so he might be unconsciously loud. And who wouldn't run or scream if they saw something as fucked up like that common.

Zenitsu isn't dying. He's turning into a spider monstrosity. Even worse. :(

Zenitsu 🐐 this man so strong he made the spider feel the air was vibrating and made Tanjirou heat the sound of a thunder boom despite there not actually being any lighting .

Due to his hearing, Zenitsu is always conscious to at least some degree, even in his sleep. It's why he yelled at Inouske and Tanjiro earlier.

People don’t realize but zenituz breathing is insane. The lightning is obviously only for viewers and he’s not actually creating lightning yet his breathing caused the ground beneath him to break, the air to vibrate around him and made a sound that tangiro mistook for actual thunder.

I feel real bad for Zenitsu because despite the hellish training he did, while he's conscious he has zero clue that he's actually stronger. He really feels like his master wasted all that time on him, and that he's a giant detriment to any team he's on.
