Zenitsu doesn’t have a different personality , it’s just that when he falls asleep he fights subconsciously on instinct since he doesn’t have to worry about his fears since he thinks he’s dreaming . Zenitsu is just that good of a swordsman but his fears hold him back . It is kinda a contradiction to like zenitsu and not deku but the difference between them is deku wanted to be a hero , zenitsu never wanted to be a demon slayer he was basically thrown into that responsibility by his master . Zenitsu just wanted to live a normal life so the fact that he’s taking the responsibility he doesn’t want and facing his fears to fight demons is really admirable to me . I don’t think the issue is that deku cries , I think it’s that he’s usually crying for stuff that don’t require him to be crying and it happens so frequently . I don’t mind it but I can see how ppl would like deku and not zenitsu or vice versa .

I love the reactions guys, but I have to disagree with Zenitsu NOT being scared. He is scared. One can even argue he's terrified. I think that's one of the points of his character and there's nothing wrong with that. Being scared keeps you on alert especially in this world.

Indeed. Also in every anime ever you hear people referring to other people as gramps, auntie, sister(nee-san), brother (onii-san), etc even if they are related or not. So calling someone gramps in an anime doesn't mean one is related. You're gonna misunderstand a lot of information like Rob here if you assume these things 😂

Well I like both Zenitsu and Deku and they are totally opposite when compared. Zenitsu cries outta fear and that's for mostly comedic purposes but no doubt he's actually afraid too like come on he was thrown into this demon slayer life outta nowhere(like kaneki from Tokyo ghoul) but the fear is exaggerated mostly to be taken as a joke . Deku cries because he's more empathic as a person! Deku is no bitch coz he literally destroyed both of his hands(finger by finger) and one leg while fighting with Todoroki to save Todoroki from his past. He purposely thrown himself through all that pain for Shoto and other likewise(Without using painkillers or something like that) So they both are very different characters. Which is why I enjoy watching them both of them on screen🙌 No bias😤

😂😂😂 The entire argument at the end stemming from the fact Rob was too busy arguing during the show to watch the scene where it explained it isn’t even Zenitsu’s real grandfather, he paid off his debts and dragged him off to train him against his will as repayment. Zenitsu and the other guy are both his students. None of them are related to each other and Zenitsu never wanted to be a demon slayer in the first place but he was also too afraid to put his foot down and say “I’m not gonna let you force your training on me”

Jezz guys , in some aspects rob is right. Zenitsu trained more than tanjirou and inosuke. He trained so hard that he didn’t get any sleep. When he’s going to sleep it’s muscle memory that acts like he does. Because he trained so much and so hard that’s why in the sleep state he is that op. Because that’s the result of he’s training , but he’s ca coward.

@@swagman2001 there more versatile but they cant fuck with him in terms of raw power and speed none of them in the anime currently are stronger than him, and late in the manga tanjiro is stronger and zen is second but thats when it comes to slaying demons in a 1v1 zen probably beats tanji but its close...inosuke not even in the picture yet

Y'all forgetting that even though Tanjiro is strong, he's still a beginner, of course he's going to need more training and experience to get better. It hasn't been that long since his first mission. And Rob really need to pay attention in my hero, don't see the points at all. And saying he's not all about feelings yet he cried when Armin was dying, stop the crap. Zenitsu is a good fighter but he can't even do that when he's awake, deku can fight and is loyal too,then saying stop bringing up deku, YOU BRING HIM UP ALL THE TIME IN OTHER SHOWS YOU HYPOCRITE, he didn't even run away, Zenitsu IS scared, Jesus fuck. And Rob need to stop assuming shot when you don't even hear the facts yet, Gramps can be called to any old man. That doesn't mean he's his grandad, you don't know, have more answers and ideas, don't stick to just one unless it's revealed

thank you deku may cries a lot but the amount of responsibility a 15 year old boy has to hold on his shoulders no one in his position can sacrifice themselves for a boy they dont even know even in the beginning of my hero when DEKU HAD no POWERS he was the only person out of the experienced hero to help kacchan escape from the sludge monster deku has mentality of a hero and his actions support that fact as well. Rob just doesn't understand zenitsu cries way more than deku and is a full blown coward but when he sleeps that when he is a beast

In japan it is common to call any old man "Ojichan" which means "grandpa". It is just a way to address older people that you know, even if they aren't blood related to you. Also, Zenitsu and his master have different last names, so they likely aren't actually related.

And also when Deku was crying after All Might vs One for all was because he knew how close to his limit all might was. When all might pointed to him, he knew that the symbol of piece no longer had his powers so that’s why he was crying. Not because he was too scared to step up to the plate. Even before Deku got his quirk he wanted to be the number one hero.

I’m about to burst your mind Rob, but zenitsu was an orphan. That old guy is his instructor. In japan they use honorifics out of respect. Zenitsu thought he was close enough to his master that he called him gramps. Calling his master Gramps could have been deemed as being “too familiar” The other guy, I’m not going to ruin much, but that is Zenitsu’s Master’s first student. Also Zenitsu is actually a very scared person. It’s not that he is afraid of responsibility, he was forced into being a demon slayer. He didn’t choose it, and it’s too much for him. But when he passes out, his subconscious takes over, and all the training that was drilled into him takes over and he is able to do that.
